What's your favourite chicken dish?

I'm thinking about what to make for dinner, and I've decided that chicken breasts will be the main ingredient.

So I'm wanting some ideas of what to make.

    Favourite answer

    a) Chicken Marengo - most recipes are for Veal Marengo but I substitute chicken.

    b) Butter chicken (very mild Indian curry dish).

    c) Chicken Stroganoff using cubed chicken breast instead of beef - a delicious family favourite.

    d) Chicken breast with mushroom - put breasts in casserole dish with a can of cream of mushroom soup + about half a can of water, add sliced mushrooms, peas, corn, beans, or whatever veg you like then bake at 180 C for about 90 mins. Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta - delicious and very easy.

Chicken spaghetti with chicken breasts, tomatoes, and cheese.

1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed or shredded

    12 ounce package linguine noodles

    salt and pepper to taste

    Preparation:

Boil linguine until done. Mix together soup, broth, tomatoes, pimientos. Layer in a baking dish: linguine, chopped chicken, soup mixture. Cover with the cheese and bake at 350° until cheese is melted. Stir mixture before serving and add salt and pepper to taste.

Chicken breasts can be used in so many different ways...one of my favorite ways to use them is to boil them in water with onion, celery and parsley plus carrot to give it some flavor.

Let cool in the broth then remove and remove the meat from the bones.

In a mixing bowl add chopped fresh green onion, celery, parsley, red bell pepper, salt and pepper. Add enough mayonnaise to hold it together add 1/2 lemon juice. Cut green peppers in half remove seeds and membrane then stuff the chicken salad into the peppers. Serve on lettuce leaves with a few slices of tomato and hard boiled egg.

Serve with a dish of fruit and some French bread

    chicken kiev. Ingham style.

Seriously. I love that chicken so much. I could live off of it. And you just take it out of the packet, put it in the oven and there you go.

Omg go buy it now. I mean you have chicken breast already, but buy it in the future.

As for what you can do with chicken breast... well I don't really think you want to ask me for cooking advice.

I do like chicken corn soup. I'll come back and post

EDIT: ok, I'm back, and I'm full of three bowls of chicken soup. yum. For basic dishes, I'd go for chicken breasts. They're the chicken-iest part of the chicken.

    I think you've realised- I'm a corny one....
