What toys do your kids ACTUALLY play with regularly?

Im starting my christmas shopping early, but I've also done a toy clean out recently and amazed at how many great toys weren't played with much before he grew out of them. I have a 5 year old boy who is in kindgergarten. He loves Ben 10, Batman, Scooby Doo, doing science experiments, cooking, drawing.

I want to know what sort of toys your kids play with often, that gets its money's worth.

Creative, sporty, game, action figures etc etc - if you have a toy that you seriously suggest avoiding please mention as well - some toys look great to you actually see them in action, or fall apart quickly or require mega strong batteries that still die quickly.

My son who is now 6 is absolutely enamored with anything that is LEGO. They are reasonably priced and they spend hours playing with them. There are so many different varieties and they really don't outgrow them... ask his DAD!! ;)

He also really enjoys activity books and Eye Spy style books.

Computer games are popular with him as well.

Those are the top three for us! Good luck and Merry Christmas!

My kids are fond of astronomy. Thank goodness, it's an activity that we actually enjoy exploring together and there are no battles, just fascination and endless wonder and amusement...and best of all, contemplative silence from even a 3 year old is priceless when she is looking at Saturn, or a nebula up close. Shelling out $3,000 for a nice Meade LX90 was one of the best investments I ever made.

UGH!! All of them!!! We have 3 toy bins in the living room tucked away in inconspicuous places and EACH day the kids seem to empty the entire contents all over the house! LOL

The kids have 2 toy boxes in each of their rooms and they are emptied daily too. We are getting tired of putting away all the toys everyday so we decided to downsize their collection. We made a pile for "keep" and a pile for "donate". When we were done, we were shocked to see nothing in the "donate" pile! Our kids play with each and every single toy they own! Weird, huh?

My daughter's (18 months)absolute favorites are dolls, strollers, bouncy balls, little action figures, and markers.

My son's (3 years old) favorite are sidewalk chalk, bouncy balls. crayons, stuffed Tiggers, play doh, blocks, and cars.

Magnetix. My 5 year old loves them.

The only toy that my children have consistently played with since they were 2 has been the Doodlepro.

Why did they take that decision? Did they have a concern with playing interior the faculty or did a team of scholars took an activity in poker and performed for exciting however the faculty desperate it had to be approximately playing so that they had ban it? truthfully the reason teenagers play enjoying cards and cube is when you consider which you merely stuff them on your pocket to college. who's gonna convey their hungry hungry hippos to college?? feels like a stupid non-concern to me. If no playing is happening what precisely makes those video games video games that "teenagers should not be enjoying"? what's incorrect with poker or yahtzee? with the aid of hassle-free hassle-free strategies to additionally gamble on hungry hungry hippos. Heck, you additionally could make it a eating interest. Or a stripping interest. If the toddlers performed enjoying cards to gamble money, they had do it on any interest. in the event that they merely like enjoying cards, they merely like enjoying cards.
