Second IPod Touch connection with wifi?
Okay so i just bought a new ipod touch and it happens to be the second generation. I brought it home and i started to search for local wifi networks. My cousin happens to have the first generation ipod touch and she is able to connect to a couple at a very strong signal. But when i try to connect to those exact same networks, i for some reason get a weaker connection and i cant really connect to the internet (safari, youtube, etc.)
So, my question is, does the first generation ipod have a better wifi or is there some settings i need to change on my ipod in order to have a better connection.

its the connection KEY make sure the networks are using WPA and 802.11 b or G and not 802.11N with WEP...
if you MUST use WEP then you cannot use the password eg default but must use the Hex Equivalent Key eg BF420A34D0

That other guy doesn't understand the question somehow...
I think it might be... I have a second generation iPod touch and it does that to me too but I don't have a first generation iPod touch to compare it to but I have a laptop with a Wi-Fi adapter (Wireless G) and it connects to the Wi-Fi signal where my touch can't
I guess it is. But the iPod touch second generation uses a different ship so that could be. It has a bluetooth, FM radio, and Wi-fi in one chip.
Try getting a replacement iPod touch or maybe the 2nd generation iPod touch is just like that...
