Now I feel really bad...?

Ok, so I'm a sophomore in high school, and haven't had my first kiss. There's this guy that I've only known for like three weeks, and it's pretty much been planned that he would kiss me at some point in the next week. Well, I wanted my first kiss not be planned or anything, so I texted him and said that I just wanted to get to know him better. He kind of agreed. Did I do the right thing? Or am I just a goody-too-shoes?

I am so proud of you. Of course you aren't some goody two shoes. Your first kiss should be so not planned. It in fact may end up a little awkward but it is something you will never forget and will be thinking about the rest of your life. So I applaud your desire to not know for sure when it will come. The spontaneity of it is part of it's charm. I only hope he knows how to deliver.

And I do wish you well

You shouldn't be kissing anybody because of a plan or because you think it's about time or because all your friends have.

Kisses are expressions of tenderness and affection. When it's time for one, it'll be obvious. Let it sneak up on you.

PS There's nothing wrong with being a goody-two-shoes, not that I think you are.

Sounds like you're not sure how he reacted: "He kind of agreed."

Are you worried he might think you're blowing him off at this point?

May be he needs friendly reassurance that it's not a rejection.

Only you can know when to follow your head and when to follow your heart.
