Former basketball player Jayson Williams tried to commit suicide?

do u know if this is true?? Ive read this on a couple of diff websites..it said that he took an entire bottle of pills & consumed an entire bottle of alcohol...was acting in an erratic manner & cops were called to his hotel room to subdue him..they tasered him, placed him under arrest & I think they said he's in a mental facility now awaiting  evalation...yea thats what i read...IS IT TRUE???

Yes its true.
Ex-NBA star Jayson Williams was acting violent and threatening to take his own life in a Battery Park City hotel room, that's what law enforcement officials said.
Williams, 41, is a former Nets star who faced criminal charges in 2002 after shooting his driver Gus Christofi at his New Jersey estate.  He is set to face a re-trial in connection with that case.

If this is true, thats horrible to hear. Jayson Williams was a very good ball player it's a shame to see his life turn the way it did.

I've tried to commit suicide before........when someone takes a bottle of pills, they are really just screaming for help, but don't know how to tell someone.....shooting yourselves in the head is quicker, easier, and painless.....he knows what he's doing.

I have read the articles and he was likely just drunk and the reporters had to embellish the story to sell a few more papers.
