Your question makes it sound as if at one point the UN served a useful purpose.

It does beg the question of whether their methods work... their lack of progress in places like North Korea is frustrating.

Perhaps every time there is a breach of UN protocol, they should swap the wine and cheese for bread and water ... as an inspiration to succeed!

No, it's not just an expensive wine and cheese club. The also serve cucumber sandwiches.
