Fire destructor - In view of the horrifc fires in Victoria I have a question to ask?

There are bombs that have been created that take the oxygen from the atmosphere leaving infrastructures intact. Is it feasible that a small version of one of these could be used to put out uncontrollable fires, once the population has been evacuated from the area? I am no scientist but if not why doesn't someone invent one to do just this, surely we have the knowledge and resources available.

I am not aware of a bomb that does this. I have heard of neutron bombs that emit energetic neutrons that kill people and animals but leave structures intact (but somewhat irradiated).
