Glimmer or regular tulle? (For wrapping around white string lights at reception)?

So I just found out about the difference between "glimmer" and regular tulle, and was wondering who has seen both. This is for my new year's eve reception inside a house, so I'll be wrapping white LED string lights in the tulle for a softer look.

Does the glimmer tulle look cheezy? Or does it add a lot of elegance? I do NOT want cheezy. :)

Here's a photo of the glimmer tulle: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/whgltubo54in.html

I like the white glimmer tulle, but not the blue. I think that since it's a New Year's Eve celebration, it's very appropriate to be sparkly and shimmery and definitely incorporating lots of glimmer. The lights will tone it down a bit, but it's more appealing to the eye than regular tulle.

If you're going for a sparkly theme in your home, go for the glimmer tulle.

If you were looking for something more traditional, it might be best to go with the regular, but either way, I'm not a huge fan of the blue. Instead of using a coloured tulle, maybe you could use your floral arrangements and centrepieces to add your splashes of colours. Blue might be way too much for the eyes and could take away from your overall "feel" of the wedding.

However, you know best of exactly what your wedding will look like. I don't think the glimmer tulle is cheesy in any way if used in moderation. Any decorating fabric can be both cheesy and tacky if used in excess.

Go with regular tulle. The glimmer looks cheesy.
