i think it's 'muzta kana', it was suppose to be "musta kana", short for "kamusta kana", people use it to make is shorter.

'Muzta kana' or 'musta kana' or 'Kamusta kana' means "How are you?", it's like saying "what's up?", he/she wants to know how you are doing.

there isn't really a 'mutza' word in tagalog, this is mispelled; it should have been muzta.

when some says muzta, it means they're asking how you are doing or feeling.

but the word muzta is just like a slang for 'musta. The muzta word is usually used when you are sending an SMS message or text or Filipinos now use this word in informal conversations.

'musta, kamusta, kumusta can be used interchangeably.

like kamusta ka na-how are you

"musta" is a colloquial term of kumusta ka na (as implied by previous answerers). I believe the best counterpart of this term in the English language is 'wazzup' (whats up)

Kumusta ka na? = How are you?

"muzta" is a short term for "kamusta?" which means "how are you?" we frequently use it because we are kinda lazy saying long terms...

  • 1 decade ago

it should have been "muzta ka na."

    short for "kumusta ka na."
