have you had a wii related injury?

i've received a punch in my temple (from the wiimote baseball bat in wii sports) and i'm about to get an ultrasound on my ankle for a possible torn achilles tendon from jogging in wiifit.

has anyone else been as unlucky as me?

Update:

dear deanc - i hit the gym three times a week and have done for years. i just don't like jogging next to traffic fumes.

Yeouch. You HAVE been unlucky. No, I haven't gotten a Wii injury, but I accidentally hit my friend in the back with the Wiimote while we were playing Wii Sports Tennis. She had a bit of a bruise from that.

....also, if you really did tear your Achilles tendon while doing Wii Fit jogging, you may want to stretch a bit more before you start exercising. A fall or misstep off of the balance board shouldn't be enough to tear up a tendon if you've stretched and warmed up properly.

well, when the Wiimote jacket first came out, I was playing baseball and it somehow slipped out of my hand straight toward the TV, bounced off, and gave me a black eye. the wiimote jacket is dangerous.

    okay, so that's not true....

no, I've had no wii-related injuries

Thankfully, nothing big. I've stubbed my toe on the Wii Balance Board a few times, but that's about it.

A wii injury? You're kidding right? When I was a kid, we had injuries from actually playing sports, not pretending to play them on a video game console. Not trying to be insulting here, please don't take this comment that way, trying to be helpful - if you are in such bad shape that pretending to play a sport on a video game console gives you an injury, then you seriously need to hit a real (not virtual) gym and get some real exercise. Please consult a physician before beginning any exercise program.

When I first got it, I didn't stop playing with it for ages, then next day I practically couldn't move my arm.
