Does sunlight or glare ruin flat monitors?
Our computer monitor faces the window but not always in direct sunlight.

No. It just makes it harder to view. Modern LCD monitors have liquid crystal displays that are passive--they simply pass light through (from a backlight) based on how they are charged. They are NOT damaged by ambient light.

it is possible for sunlight to ruin flat monitors.
these things are quite sensitive..
