bleeding and on the pill?

i'm on the pill to control period pains (it's not endometriosis - i've been checked for that).

problem is, i now have quite a bit of breakthrough bleeding. i bleed probably about 14 days (including period) out of a total of 28. it's not fun.

why is this happening? i have a short cycle of 24 days and the pill is forcing me onto a longer unnatural cycle. could this be the cause?

To be on the safe side if your are experiencing prolonged bleeding or very painful symptoms it is wise to consult a doctor to find out what is going on.

Call your GYN and ask that question too. It could be the wrong pill for you.

If its a new pill your starting, breakthroughs can happen for the first couple of months but not ffor 24 days.

You should ask you gyn about the ring, its great.

not every type of bcp is right for everyone, sometimes women have problems with certain kinds and need to go back to the doctor and get a new kind. I think thats what you should do.. the pill your on now probably does not agree with your body and cycle the way it should..

You need to change pills. Yaz comes with 24 active pills and only 4 inactive pills. This should make your periods lighter.
