Help from Disney World expert needed?

Could anyone who is familiar to Disney world help me plan my trip? I need option with cheap price for our family holiday.

Travel party: 2 adults + 1 kid (22/ 23month old boy)

Disney explore duration: 7 days

Option 1 based on date arrival: 5/6/7 Juli until next 7 days

Option 2 based on date departure: 2/3 August count back 7 days

Resort choice: preferably: inside, or reachable on foot

Meal -> any suggestion?

Entertainment -> any suggestion?

Which park ticket should I get that is suitable for infant?

Budget incl. everything (park ticket, hotel stay, meal, entertainment) for 2 adults + 1 kid: usd 1'500-1'600 (fly ticket not incl.)

Will it be cheaper if more people join the trip?

I have my friends want to come with me (2 adults + 2 yrs old boy)

Update:

which dates I opted has attractions?

Whick park ticket shall I buy? Is hopper suitable for infant? I think Waterpark is more for bigger kids, am I right?

Update 2:

Thanks everyone for the WDW tips.

BTW, I plan to visit our friends in Canada at the same time. The reason I go Florida is Disney & shopping. Is there any cheap flight to/ from Toronto? I don't know how much fun to shop in Florida, so I couldn't decide if I should go to Canada or Florida/ WDW first in considering moving around with luggages+shopping items & kid. Shall I book the flight together with MYW Package. Any suggestion?

If you click on the "Packages Under $1,600" http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/tickets/magic...

you can piece together what you need by choosing a Value Resort, Basic Dining Plan, Magic Your Way Tickets (no water park options) and Magical Express.

I put July 27 to Aug 2 for 2 adults and 1 child (2 yrs old) staying at a Value Resort (Pop Century in the trip I put together) with 7-Day Magic Your Way Ticket with Park Hoppers, Basic Dining Plan and Magical Express for a total price of $1,315. You can add the waterpark option for more $$, but I agree with you, that you won't really want that with an infant. If you don't want the Park Hopper option, then the price will come down. If you stay in an on-site resort, you can use the free Disney transportation system (buses, monorail, boats) to get between all the parks and hotels. (http://allearsnet.com/pl/transp.htm)

The Dining Plan is a lot of food, so you can save money if you don't think you will eat this much.

    http://allearsnet.com/pl/packages.htm

The Magical Express is free for guests who stay on-site. Basically it's a bus that will pick you up at the airport at the beginning of the trip and drop you off at the airport at the end of your trip. The best thing about is that if you want, you can have Disney get your luggage from the airport for you when you arrive in Orlando and they will deliever it to your room (usually a few hours after your arrive at your resort).

    http://allearsnet.com/acc/mexpress.htm

And no, it's not cheaper if you plan it for more people. It's basically the same rate, if you add another family, you would just have to double the price to add your friend's family of 2 adults and 2 yr old boy.

And yes, no park ticket required for kids 3 and under. Also, kids under 3 are allowed to eat of their parents' plate for free (including buffets). But obviously, if you want to order something of the menu for them separately, you will be charged for that.

As for Entertainment.. I'm not sure what else you'll need other than the parks and the swimming pool at your resort!

If you haven't already done so, ask for the free Disney Vacation Planning DVD, it's pretty helpful and fun to watch.. and it's free!

I'm a seasonal employee at Disney World, don't know if that makes me an expert or not, lol. Actually about to go back down and work in two weeks.

July and August are busy seasons, in peak, so the prices are going to be higher for the hotels. If you want a resort that is on property Allstars is the most budget friendly. All the resorts on property have free bus and sometimes boat transportation to the parks. Staying on property is wonderful, because mid day you can go back to the hotel and put the kids down for a nap.

As for meal suggestions, go with the meal plan they offer. You get three meals a day, which includes an appetizer, entree, and desert. As well as like two snacks during the day while you're in the parks. It can be used at any of the restaurants inside the parks, including the ones that need reservations.

Hopper tickets are fine for infants. Like I said, if you're staying on property, you can go put the kids down for a nap at mid day, and then in the evening, visit another park.

As for the water parks, they mostly have big water slides, but they do have a nice area for small children. Believe it or not, quite a few parents bring their infants to the water parks, they bring their strollers which is a good idea. Infants must have those water pants to go in the water though, I believe, for sanitary reasons.

Hope that helps. Might see you down there!

i don't believe your child needs a ticket. i think up to 3 y/o they get in for free. My fav. place to eat is Beach's and Cream which is at the Beach club resort. The resorts arn't really reachable by foot... Like the Swan/ Dolphin, boardwalk, yaht &beach club and so forth are walkable distance to Epcot. Disney provides bussing... monerail.. and boats. If price isn't an option the polyneasion (spelling, haha) Grand Flordian, and Contemporaryare all resorts on the monerail.. and from the monerail you can get right to Magic Kingdrom, and Epcot and if you'd prefer you can go to the bussing station and then you can catch a bus to the other parks. If you stay at the hotels with boat access like Fort WIlderness campground and Wildeness Lodge [and i believe the Contemporary has a boat also, but i've only stayed there once and there was no need for the boat b/c of the monerail] you can hop on the boat, and then hop on the monerail.

I think the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at fort wilderness campground is cute.. and for a young'n the Campfire with Chip n' Dale is so adorable. I'm sure he'd enjoy that. It's a campfire with sing-a-longs, and a classic disney movie on a big screen (all outdoors)

I'm not sure which dates would be best for you.. .and im not sure how 2 help you with the prices and stuff. I hope i helped you out a bit...

oh yeaaa... you haveee to do a character breakfast or lunch too. I've enjoyed all of them throughout my life even now (at 20 years old) except the one character breakfast at Restaurantosaurus i believe it was.. in the Animal Kingdom. The food just didn't satisfy me.

Well i hope you enjoy your trip!!!

Disney World is 4 parks Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is the original park, it has the most rides and really the best. EPCOT is the second Disney park it has 2 parts Innovations and World Showcase, Innovations is all about the future and World Showcase is all countries from around the world. Hollywood Studio's is like being in Hollywood, it's all about movies. and Animal Kingdom is basically a big zoo. The 2 best parks are Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. Epcot is boring for me a 13 year old, and Animal Kingdom get's boring and is REALLY REALLY humid because of all the plants. The Best rides in each park: Magic Kingdom: Space Mountain Tomorrowland Transit Authority Big Thunder Mountain Pirates of The Caribbean Haunted Mansion Splash Mountain It's A Small World Epcot: Spaceship Earth Test Track The Finding Nemo Ride Imagination! with Figment Soarin Hollywood Studios: The Great Movie Ride Muppet Vision 3D Toy Story Mania Tower of Terror Rockin Roller Coaster Animal Kingdom: Safari Expedition Everest It's Tough to be a Bug Dinosaur

Me and my girlfriend went, and we spent about 1500 for a week. If you stay at the POP century it's got more Bang for your Buck. It's very affordable and it is a very fun hotel. The Disney website will give you an amazing deal on a vacation package. It's the cheapest to buy a week's meal plan and a 1 week park hopper. The buses that run from the resorts to the parks are free. your child's admission is also free.Really check out the Walt Disney World website and get a quote on a vacation. It's free and you have no obligation....that rhymed....

Children under three get in free =]

It will cost around $1600 for a six day seven night stay at a value resort like pop century, and the all-star resorts with a park. But you are going in the peek season so this may be more expensive.

I would suggest to stay in Pop Century resort because of how colourful and kid friendly it is there. You can get a Disney Dining Meal plan (thats also something to think about)

You can take a bus to any parks right from your resort and to Down Town Disney.

I think Magic Kingdom would be the best for someone his age. If he likes shows you may want to think about Hollywood Studios ( older name MGM) because there are lots of plays you can see. Like playhouse Disney with bear and in the big blue house and mickey mouse club house.

If more people want to come it is going to be the same price unless you have a large family group to take with you.

Hi there! Look over this website:

    http://www.easybreezyplanning.com/

And feel free to email me directly at disneymickeyvacation@yahoo.com with any Disney World questions you may have!

I would shoot for the august trip - simply because crowds will be lower than in July. Your resort choice depends on your budget - I'd be happy to help you choose one that fits your needs and budget. Friends are always great to chip in for hotel costs, etc... but keep in mind that all Disney Resort hotels have a maximum of 4 people (with the one exception of the fort Wilderness Cabins which can sleep 4-6 people).

Have a great trip and I hope to hear from you soon!

I would recommend using a trip planning service. They are not expensive, but they make sure that you get the most out of your trip. The one we use is:

    www.custommouseplans.com

They actually saved us more money than we spent on the service, so it was totally worth it! Also, they planned the trip out so that we got to see all of the best stuff without waiting in long lines. It was the best trip we ever had!
