How much does Social Security receive from Individual Tax ID Numbers (ITINs) each year?

Millions of US residents use ITIN's to work and pay taxes. I can't find the figures for how much the government collects from them in social security, medicare or federal income taxes. Please let me know if you have any data on the subject.

Legal US residents don't use ITINs to work. You MUST have a valid SSN to work in the US. An ITIN is ONLY for people who are classified as non-resident aliens or are otherwise ineligible for an SSN.

For the most part the only income reported via an ITIN is unearned income or earned income for non-resident alien spouses of US taxpayers who have elected to be taxed by the US on their world-wide income.

The vast majority of all income reported to the IRS via ITIN is not subject to Social Security taxes so the SSA would receive very little income this way.

Finally, ITINs are issued by the IRS, not the SSA.
