1996 ford festiva radio, keeps comming up with ERR since the battery was disconnected.?

have disconnected the battery for 12 hours, but it makes no difference, is it stuffed?????

    Umm the light is coming on because of the egr system, that is common sense, get it to a shop for a proper diagnosis. Disconnecting the battery on an OBD2 system does not reset the light. Alot of shade tree techs believe it does but it doesn't.

    Got owners manual?? Read it and find out how to set the "automatic buttons" up again, and possibly re- set the stereo controls (and the clock)! All that is the matter is that the radio has "lost it's memory", - just like when a compouter looses power,--everything not "stored" disappears from unit, and has to all be re-done!

    Other than the fact that the radio runs off the same electricity as the computer, they have absolutely nothing to to do with one another! Remember some cars don't have radios, and the engine keeps right on running!

    eer on radio is not a obd code it is a srereo code personally i would put a good stereo in it but i would say go to a dealer and ask a couple ?'s festivas dont show obd codes on stereo -it isnt a caddy
