I need a nice boat to transport people for a wedding in December.?
40 people from ceremony at cremorne reserve wharf to reception venue at wharf restaurant on pier 4 walsh bay. Be on the boat for an hour and a half, stopping for photos. So far have only found charters for min 4 hours. Anyone have a nice boat that would fit 40 people on it and be willing to drive us around for a fee?
In Australia.

Technically, anyone transporting for hire (fee) would require a Captains license. Try placing an ad in your local free paper for a Captain or call local Boat clubs and ask if there is a retired Captain who may be willing to do this for you. You are paying for insurance, vessel, and crew costs which are included in the 4 hour minimum. Maybe use the four hour minimum to your advantage somehow? Transport people from their parked cars at the reception?

Sorry to burst yer bubble. It's a pretty little bubble. Great concept but from a Liability Point(...free...)...no-one will do it. Either pay or forget it. There's gotta be contracts and Insurance and money involved.
Basically...too many Americans get all Lawyered-up too quickly.
