PERMISSION to use COPYRIGHTS for COMMERCIAL PURPOSES?

I want to start a business whereby I might have to do myself some drawings, caking & other crafting projects of using copyright stuffs such as Disney, Warner Bros, Barbie, Spongebob characters to make every single thing match to theme parties. In addition, I would like also to display my works of those characters on my flyers and website.

I looked everywhere on internet, but I can't figure out to whom I should ask. I went to their official websites to check their copyrights policy & contacts, but I still couldn't find the answers I need.

Can anyone please tell me how, where, how long and to whom would I need to contact with regards to using those characters (Copyrights). Please answer this question by providing me the URLs and email addresses of the owner's of those characters I have mentioned above.

Thanks so much for your help, until now I don't have much luck with getting any advice on this. So please, don't just tell me to look up in search engines. I d

I wouldn't ask anyone. I'd just do it. You will get a C&D letter from the copyright holder if your violation of their rights comes under thier notice. If you ever get one just stop violating that holders copyright and they won't prusue it further. Until that happens I wouldn't worry about it. Its not likely that the creator of spongebob is going to notice you are using his unlicenced image in your small local business.
