What suburbs in inner Melbourne are most affordable?

I want to buy a first home in inner Melbourne, but I've been living overseas for the last 2 years, so I have no idea which suburbs may have recently gone up in value.

Want a house in a suburb that is still relatively affordable compared to its neighbours, but also close to the city.

I guess I'm looking for a 2 bedroom property for the 280-350k mark that will hopefully be able to attract a decent rental income

Suggestions?

    Try this site www.realtor.com

Not only can you search for houses on this site, but you should be able to find a realtor to talk to as well that would be able to answer that question for you!

    Good luck!
