Jump rope refrains or tunes needed.?
My 7-year-old niece was asking about tunes, songs or refrains for when she and her little friends jump rope. I remember only one and a part of another.
Down in the valley where the green grass grows,
There sat Susie sweet as a rose.
She sang and she sang and she sang so sweet,
Along came Johnny and kissed her on the cheek.
How many kisses did he give her...
One, two, three, etc. (And then all the kids would count as long as the jumper continued to jump and stop when she missed.)
The other I can only get this far...
Susie and Johnny behind a tree,
K-i-s-s-i-n-g...
And that's all I remember of this one.
Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.
No, I did not make any of this up. I use Susie & Johnny because those were the names when we played. The older girls used their boyfriends or guys they liked.

The first one is similar to one my sister says she and her friends use to jump to.
Over in the park sitting on a swing,
There little Susie began to sing.
She sang so good and she sang so sweet,
Along came Johnny and kissed her on the cheek.
How many kisses did he give her... 1,2,3 etc.
And then she (my older sister) and her girlfriends also had a couple 'adult' ones. These of course are not for your 7-year-old.
There's pretty Judy dressed in red,
Laying across her feather bed.
Along came Johnny to pursue her,
How many times did he screw her... 1,2,3, etc.
And this one:
There's this gal that lives on the hill,
She won't do it but her sister will.
Johnny comes to visit every day,
How many hours do they play...1,2,3, etc.
Of course the names would change depending on who was jumping and what their boyfriend's name was.
