Acne like rash on face after being outside in the heat?

This past weekend I went wood cutting. It was in the low 90s and humid. When I got home I realized how much my face and neck was itching.

I decided to take a shower thinking all the sawdust was irritating my skin.

The next morning when I woke up my whole face and neck has what looks like razor burn or acne. I have never had acne before. When I was a teen I would get the occasional zit but not this.

It is getting a little better but it still itches. I but some cortizone on it lastnight and it has helped a little.

What is this rash and what all can I do to get rid of it or at least stop the itching?

It is what is known as prickly heat and happens along with sun burn. It is best to wash with very mild medicated detergent and then put on lactocalmine or a medicated powder which ever you can find at your pharmacy.Takes a few days to settle down

Sounds like contact dermatitis from exposure to sawdust and other irritant particles. Could also be a photosensitivity reaction if a medication or topical lotion used. Cortisone cream and a few days should help. If not try claritin otc. If not that then see your doc to get on some prednisone-if your not diabetic. Good luck.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

More than likely you got yourself into some poison Oak or Ivy, stop scratching or you will spread it to other parts of your body.

Use some Caladryl Clear Lotion ( not the pink one it looks funny on your face and neck ) and use Lanacan Antiseptic these will help with the itch and help prevent getting infection from scratching.

They have come out with a wonderful itch relief gel from Benadryl I recommend. If it is poison ivy or allergic reaction or even a mosquito bite, as soon as you put this stuff on, you get relief
