Why Do People?

On Yahoo Questions and Answers seem to always pick the First Answer When Voting On Undecided Questions ?

It's Crazy to me !

Why Don't You Take Some Time To Read At Least Several Of The Answers, The First Is Not Always The Best, But it appears to always have so many more votes than the rest :::: EVEN IF IT'S A DUMB ANSWER ???

Many People Answering Put A Lot Of Time Into Their Answers, and if the Asker doesn't have the respect to vote themselves, at least the ones of us that go to UNDECIDED VOTES QUESTIONS SHOULD TAKE THE TIME TO READ MOST OF THE RESPONSES !!!

Agree Or Not ??

Update:

PEOPLE, I'M REFERING TO UNDECIDED QUESTIONS BEING VOTED ON .. BY OTHERS.. I HAVE ALSO ALREADY AGREED THE ASKER SHOULD PICK THE BEST ANSWER, ( THAT IS NOT THE QUESTION HERE ) LOL

I agree, they think points will get them a trip to Disneyland or something rather than actually take a second to make a valid contribution.

  • The first answer is not always voted as the best answer. The answer that is most informative seems to be the one voted first. A lot of people answer without thinking the question out and from all sides of view. There are always questions that I don't know anything about and in those iinstance's I do not post an answer.

I might scroll down a few, but I think the asker should take the time to vote on their answer, not us.

I agree, but when there are 40 0r 50, I tend to lose interest. People who just pick the first answer all the time are just grabbing points.

I don't automatically pick the 1st answer,in fact I am much less likely to pick the 1st answer just because I know so many people do that...

because it seems you get points for voting, so they just click in there quick to get some extra points instead of searching for Q&A that they are interested in.
