one month pregent, can I still weight train?

I just found out that I am pregant, I have found enjoyment in going to the gym, doing cardio and weight training, does anyone know if this is ok, what are some weights that are good and some that are bad?, does going to the gym, decress the amount of weight you gain, and how big you get?

Anyone with any kind of info is greatly appriciated.

I'm a fitness trainer and 34.5 weeks pregnant. U can still go to the gym but you have to be a lil more careful now. When u do cardio watch you heart rate, don't go over 120 bpm,so you have to either walk at a nice pace,do some helyptical, bike, stepper no longer than 30 min. Weight lifting is ok,but it's better for you if you do more reps with smaller weights. After the 4th month of pregnancy try not to work out the legs on the machines,or if u do,try not to lift any weights with the legs. Hope this helps!

even if you exercise you will get a baby bump but you may not get as much excess flab like many women do I would definatly talk to you're doc b4 continuing you're routine I bet it's ok but you need to be sure and be specific with hte doctor if you don't feel like working out (which sometimes you won't) then rest and take it easy don't over do it!! congrats

I would ask a doctor but I don't see where light exercises will hurt while pregnant, actually it can be good, but I would definately say don't over exert yourself.
