On changing clothes (as you progress through the game you will have more "exotic" choices) go into a store and when the icon tells you, press the button and it will auto change clothes.
When you go an meet Brad you can do a couple of things. Complete the mission, or by pass him all together. Get a pistol from a cop and go to town. There is a rhythm with all the missions. On this one time your shots and then get behind some cover.
Anything that you pick up, try killing some zombies with it. Then from there you will be able to decide which you like best.

You go in the clothes shops and walk up to them and if you can wear them it will give you the option. They guy with the gun is hard and you must throw **** at him and shot him when he isn't looking. It is long a tedius, throw barrels and such at him to do get past him. Good Luck.
