take a small aquabus either to/from Granville Island public market (about $2.50) and then walk the seawall around Stanley park..this will give you a beautiful feeling of what vancouver is all about..you can also cut through any of the trails in stanley park and be virtually secluded in our rainforest growth...come...enjoy

Stanley Park/Aquarium are the best suggestions, great way to spend a day. Walk along the sea wall (that runs along Stanley Park); you'll not only get in some great people watching, but often you see seals too, and lots of sea birds. Check out the transit in vancouver...it gets you everywhere and you can plan out your route on the website. but once you're downtown you don't have to really take transit anywhere, it's all within walking distance if you're in the mood for a little adventure. a great hotel, which is right on the edge of stanley park in a great, artsy, quaint neighborhood, is the Sylvia Hotel. Great prices! Good luck, and have fun.

You must see Stanley Park and a trip to the Vancouver Aquarium is a blast as it is right in the park. If you have time Granville Island is also a lot of fun, there is tons of stuff you can pick up in the market.
