The moon may very well have aided in the formation of life. The tides the moon creates makes water, and the organic substances in it, wash up on land to form ponds. On land there are clays that are excellent chemical catalysts. A pond full of chemicals, catalysts, sunlight and atmospheric gasses would be the ideal place for life to have begun. Another tidal wave would then have washed it back into the ocean to flourish.

As for the moon being capable of generating eclipses it is probably not a significant factor. The moons of Jupiter can also create them. And when life appeared on earth the moon was much much closer (and the tides were much stronger). It is only in the last 500 million years or so that the moon has been able to generate a total eclipse. When the moon was much closer all of the sun would have been blocked out. No corona would have been seen.

properly, it relies upon. someone ought to easily be appearing unusual to get interest, they could no be concious of it nonetheless. An eclipse is only a moon in the front of the sunlight, or the earths shadow on the moon, it shouldnt result organisms.
