Will the next King and Queen be Charles and Camilla? Will they be as uncontroversial and unifying as the current Queen, Elizabeth?
Favourite answer:They do have a history, people of the age 45 and up that took an interest in Diana & Charles while they were married, did go through the emotional shock of their divorce and what took place between the Prince of Wales and the then Mrs Parker-Bowles, well before Lady Diana married the Prince of Wales.
Prince Charles always made it clear to Lady Diana before their wedding that his relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles was "non-negotiable".
And, despite the controversy it provoked, he remained true to his word, championing the divorced mother-of-two and gradually making her role in his life increasingly prominent.
It was after Princess Diana's death and a few years behind them that they felt it was safe to marry.
But those that remember are still alive and well and still have that respect for Lady Diana. She will always be the Princess to all that still care. And this is what keeps the controversy of the Duke & Duchess of Cornwall alive.
Once They become King & Queen Consort..... hmmm, Will their controversial history do them any favours? I can't see them winning any popularity in the CommonWealth of Nations, and in the UK. I think there's a lot of Karma that they will end up having to pay. Lets just say; "what goes around comes around".
