Is having a serious channel on youtube considered a full time job?

not channel about your kids playing or pranking your friends.   I have seen channel about Golf Tutorials, Computer Parts and Gaming.   Are people who made the videos considered having a full time job with pay?   What do you think?

    What are IT jobs like?

    Favourite answer:

IT itself is a category of jobs, not a job in itself.  It's like 'healthcare' or 'manufacturing'.  So, there are lots of different types of jobs, different types of companies to work for, etc.

But here is something a bit specific for you.  To be really successful in IT, you have to have a mindset of wanting to figure things out for yourself (in addition to or as opposed to someone showing you).  For example, if you buy a new wireless router for your home wifi, do you try to figure it out yourself or do you call someone to come hook it up for you?  It helps to look at technology as toys you get to play with, rather that something complicated that you have to deal with.

As far as degrees go, there are many companies that will hire someone without a degree.  You have to really be a strong self starter and self taught but I know plenty of people who are successful without a degree.  However, many companies will only hire people with degrees, or will only promote people with degrees.  So if you have the means to get a degree, you'll go further in your career than you would without one.

Why are people still stuck living in the past in a technologically ruled world?

It's almost 2021 and you still have companies using hard copies of everything, they don't use computers, they write everything on paper, they handle transactions with old methods. You have people who still don't use cell phones or the internet. You have people majoring in archaic majors at university that have literally 0 market, which were only useful 100 years ago. You have people not prepared for the future of society, and it's holding us back as a society. They are stuck climbing one mountain thinking they are on their way to success, but they are too ignorant to realize they are climbing the wrong mountain, and all the new age technology and jobs and skillsets are on a completely different mountain that only the younger generation understands. We are on the verge of having quantum computers, AI, genome sequencing, blockchain, and you have people who still don't even know how to use basic functions of the internet or know how to type.

Fired on the first day for my job, is this okay?

    Favourite answer:

I hope you learned something from this experience.  Your boss was very kind to give you a second chance.

Very fair to not give you a 3rd chance.

I started working for the first time and it doesn't feel good.?

    Favourite answer:

If working at home is stressful, ask to go in to the office.

If WORKING itself is stressful and you would feel stressed whether you were in an office or at home then remember to consider this:

If you do not work...Who will pay your rent?  Who will buy your food?  Who will give you a car or motorcycle to drive to go places?  Who will pay for your cellphone, internet access and/or data use?  Who will buy you necessities like toilet paper, soap, pants, shoes and water?

If you do not work...will your friends still want to be around you?  Will your parents and relatives respect you?  Will you have everything that you need?

Basically it comes down to this: Do you want the comfort of having a place to sleep where no one will attack you while you sleep...where no bugs or rats or dogs or snakes will crawl  all over you?   Or does it not matter?  If it doesn't matter...stop working.

If it does...then shut up, suck it up and keep calm and keep working

Did I answer the question with good answers?

Interviewer: "I see that you had an internship in 2019, but you did not have an internship in 2020. Can you tell me what you did in the summer?"

Me: "Yes, I did not do well with my interviews for the summer of 2020. I was discouraged and a little depressed. But I realized that I have to continue pushing forward, I told myself that I have to continue. In the last 2 months of my summer, I was spending 20 to 30 hours on fundamentals and learning new technology and worked on a project"

Will most jobs that are done by humans at some point in the future only be done by the smartest humans in the world?

For example in 1000 years, will only the smartest humans in the world have jobs, and everything else will be automated by robots and everyone else will be on social welfare programs such as Universal Basic Income because robots can do everything better than them? So basically the only jobs that will exist will be managing robots and programming robots, and everything else will be done by robots?

Value of a HS diploma? ?

Has the HS diploma lost all value? Will it eventually become obsolete, no jobs available or will new jobs be generated that you can do with a HS diploma. For example some jobs may be new and Higher education may not have time to respond.

How do you deal with a lazy co-worker?

So this person started almost two years ago. First 6 months did almost nothing. Guy also had an attitude and bullied me into doing more by a) just watching what I do 2) keep bugging asking what I'm doing... so I just kept busy to bore him. Then the guy just watched video during work hours and did very little remaining of time.

Boss is not in state and the other department boss, this guy made sure to act as a personal assistant and "friend" to him so that this person didn't care as long as he had his personal assistant right next to him.

With this my workload has increased dramatically. I'm going crazy, it's impacting my work quality because I'm doing 3 or 4 times the work that he does. He eventually started doing some since he was looking too bad.

But I'm just exhausted, and the guy since is rested makes sure to jump on anything I miss or do wrong to end up looking like the guy that is on top of things when he's pretty much doing nothing just waiting for an opportunity to look good.

How can I deal with such a person? I earn good money, like my workplace, and it was my dream job before this person was hired.

Boss won't do anything about it. Plus this guy will make sure to make my life hell if I do evidence him.
