1 AnswerAir Travel1 decade agoWhich chainset would suit my bike?
I have a nine speed bike with a double chainset, worn. I want to replace it but put on a triple. As my chain is a narrow shimano type do I need a special chainset? can i use another brand such as Campanglo, what about teeth amounts? 54t? How do I know which ratio to look for?
Thanks in advance, I know I'm asking a few questions here.
3 AnswersCycling1 decade agoReplacing a bike chain ( knowing correct length)?
I lost my bike chain ( going downhill it snapped and fell off in the dark) so I didn't go back to get it, just freewheeled home. I bought a new chain and put it on however when I change onto the smallest chainring and smallest sprocket the de-railer flops so much that the two cogs rub against each other. I imagine the chain is too long. If i put the chain on the biggest chainring and the smallest sprocket and pull two parts of the chain together I would have an overlap of 5 links. How many should I have to run the bike properly ( its a nine speed cassette if that helps). thank you

I bought an 'orchard' collection this year for our garden. This consists of a plum tree, pear tree and an apple tree. I understand without pollination the fruit yield will be rather poor. Will these trees pollinate each other or should i buy another mini 'orchard'?
