  • What do you think of Jose Canseco trying to get into the All Star Game?

  • Why is captaincy determined by skill?

I ask this because a lot of people have been talking about making Giroux the Flyers captain of late. It seems like the general consensus that he will be their next captain. But why? What leadership has he shown other than scoring?

Why do we constantly see captains being chosen because of their abilities, and not leadership and experience?

We've seen it in Pittsburgh, Washington, Vancouver, the list goes on.

    So why is this?

  • Why do people consider the Raptors as candidates for relocation?

    This one stumps me.

Whenever a question comes up about teams that should relocate, Toronto's name is thrown around.

People make it seem like they have the worst attendance in the league.

However, the basic facts are that they have a decent attendance.

With their struggles the past couple years, they have not been in the top half in attendance, but they are still top 20.

Almost every year before they were in the top half. They even had several years in the top 10.

So why do people always mention them when relocation comes up?

Is it just because they are in Canada?

So how much do you think the card will sell for tomorrow?

Closest to the actual selling price gets best answer.

  • Why do people think Obama is the worst president ever?

This has really been bugging me.

Yes he is terrible, but how is the the worst EVER?

How is he worse than Harding? Andrew Johnson? Filmore? Buchanan? Pierce?

How is Obama worse than these guys?

Is it just people automatically think that if the guy in office is a bad president than they are the worst?

Why don't people think about the other 43 presidents and not just the ones that were most recent?

  • Kubina traded to the Flyers?

Pavel Kubina has been traded to the Flyers for a pair of draft picks.

We do not know what the draft picks are yet.

    Thoughts?

    Questions:

    1. Do you think this is what the Flyers need? Why or why not?

    2. The Flyers have now acquired 2 defencemen this week. Do you think they would have still made these deals if Pronger was healthy?

    3. What 2 draft picks do you think are appropriate for Pavel Kubina?

    4. Would you say Philly is done with their trading? Or do you think they will be more active?

    5. The Lightning are clearly sellers, due to their struggles. They finished 5th in the East last season.

What would you say is the biggest reason for the struggles of Tampa Bay?

  • Weirdest thing you've seen at a hockey game?

I was at my brothers hockey game and they had another 2 teams playing before them.

The other teams game went into OT, where nobody scored. The rules were strange, so they did 3 on 3 rather than a shootout. When nobody scored there it went to 2 on 2, and then 1 on 1.

Somebody finally scored in 1 on 1, but it was one of the strangest things I've ever seen.

So my question is, what is the weirdest thing that you have ever seen/experienced at a hockey game?

  • What All Star format do you prefer?

It is right now All Star weekend in the NHL, and I decided to ask a question to some non-hockey fans.

It is about the All Star game and how teams are selected.

The NHL and the NBA are very similar in many ways, mainly playoff format, divisions and conferences.

But one large difference is the All Star Game.

Last year, the NHL decided to abandon the classic East-West format in favour of picking 2 team captains, holding a draft and having the captains pick teams. The players seemed to have a lot of fun, and they gave a car to Logan Couture (the player who was picked last).

    So my question is:

What format of choosing All Star teams would you prefer the NBA use?

Do you prefer the classic East-West format that is currently used, or do you prefer captains picking sides?

  • Let's role-play, hockey style?

Your an NHL player who has played 2 years, both for the team that drafted you. The team you played for is a team you grew up feeling neutral about.

You are now a free agent.

You have a few offers on the table. Which do you accept?

The defending Stanley Cup champion offers you $1.75

The team you played 2 years for offers you $2 Million

The team you grew up cheering for offers you $2 Million

The team you hated the most while growing up offers you $2.5 Million

A random team in Europe offers you $3 Million

    (All per year)

Which offer would you accept and why?
