  • Hydrangea question... winter weather.?

I live in Maryland, where we have had a mild winter. The last few days the weather has gotten cold, with temps dipping into the 20's at night. I have 4 Hydrangea plants. Two of them have started to get little leaf type buds on them already. I'm really worried that the frost will kill my flowers. Any suggestions.

  • Hydrangea question... please help.?

My have a pink hydrangea plant that is doing very well. I live in Maryland by the way, its the month of June so it does get very hot. The other day I used some HollyTone to fertilize the plant. The color of my plants has since changed to very very light pink. I did not want that to happen. Is there anything I can do at this moment to bring the old color back. I have some Garden Lime, should I use that? Thanks guys.

  • newly transplanted hydrangea question?

I planted a new hydrangea last wednesday...the plant seems to be doing well, but does have a few burned leaves. I'm wondering if I should move it. I talked to my neighbor and he says to wait, because the plant might have been kept where it didn't get much sun and is just getting used to it. I did my own analysis...for the past 3 days the plant has been getting morning sun from 8-11am...and then partial shade the rest of the day. We've been having 90 plus temps here in the dc area. I water longer but not as often. Also, I did add a "plant starter" product that helps with root growth. Should I add some food to the plant? Thanks so much

  • hydrangea issues continue?

My mophead hydrangea plant is pretty healthy...the flowers are coming in just fine. But... some of the

leaves are turning brown towards the edges. Almost looks like someone burned them. The plant is in a area where it gets morning sun and shade the rest of the day. We water it all the time. This is my first

year being a homeowner and having a garden, so any help would be appreciated.

  • Hydrangea plant having trouble..?

I'm a fairly new gardner...but this season being a new home owner I decided to do some planting.

I bought 2 hydrangea plants...they were doing ok...until I did a very stupid thing. I was having issues with pests in the garden..mainly my roses, so the guy at Lowe's suggested this Bayer rose and flower care product. I put that in the hydrangeas too...but I over did it. Next...the pests were still there...so the guy once again suggested I buy neem. I used it on my roses and it worked great...so I used it on my Hydrangeas too. I know I know...stupid. The problem is some of the leaves are dying on one of the plants...I really want to save this plant. What can I do? oh gardening gods help me...thanks in advance

  • Hydrangea question? Help me?

I have an Hydrangea plant that I bought about 7 days ago. Everytime I see it the leaves are down.

We water it all the time. The plant is planted in an area where there is partial shade, so it does see

some sunshine during the day. Could it be that its not taking well to the soil? My Roses are doing great. Should I move it to the other side where there is more shade? Miracle grow. I really love this plant...and don't want to lose it. Help me. Thanks in advance.

  • Hydrangea question??

I bought a hydrangea bushes from BJ's. The box came with 2 plants with just the roots showing.

Do these grow well? How much time will it take to grow into a normal sized plant? Has anyone bought them before?

  • My cat alone for 15 days...?

Leaving my cat for 15 days....?

My husband and I are traveling for the holidays. We have a 9 month old kitty... who is going to be alone during that time. My parents will come around every 2 days to feed her and change the litter.

I'm just really worried that she'll get lonely and depressed during the time we are away. She is pretty affectionate and loves having people around. She sleeps right outside our door every night. I would love to get some tips on keeping her busy and entertained. Thanks.

  • Help..my newly planted flowers are dying.?

We moved into our new home about 6 months ago. No one has ever lived in the home...so no landscaping was ever done. We have a mix of top soil plus clay like stuff. My roses by the way are doing great.

I added extra top soil and miracle grow when I planted the flowers.

It looks like the leaves are being eaten by something...and the flowers

are dying. Please help...I paid a good chuck of money for these flowers.
