Christmas and New Year in San Francisco?
I'm going to be in San Francisco over Christmas, and I was wondering if there were any Christmassy things (like places serving Christmas dinners) available to the public? I'm not really into the whole religious side, but it would be nice to not just hang out in a hostel dorm room on my own, and all.
Background: I'm in the States on a semester exchange, I'm travelling before I go home to Australia, and I have no family or friends to stay with in the Bay Area and will be staying at a hostel.
Also, I'm going to assume SF has a New Years Eve fireworks display - what's the best vantage point, and how early should I aim to get there by?
