I'll be studying abroad in China this spring, but I also want to visit Vietnam, Thailand, Tibet and maybe even Mongolia on weekend breaks.

Do you think it's safe for a 21 year old female to travel alone to these places (in the touristy areas)?

I have keen sense of judgement, and if I use my common sense, I feel like I'll be okay..but what do ya'll think?

And any advice on safety tips besides common knowledge (if you have any)?

and what does your mom/grandma usually make?

Thanksgiving: pumpkin pie or brown sugar pie

Christmas: fudge squares or yule logs :)

my grandma usually makes pumpkin pie or apple pie at Thanksgiving and pecan pie at Christmas

my favorite: November!! because i LOVE autumn food, autumn weather, fall fashion, and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday!

least favorite: March, becaue the weather SUCKS and there's no good holiday, and every single spring break i've had, something bad happened /:(

Least favorite: St. Patrick's Day because i really don't drink anymore, so now it's boring! :/ and i HATE March!!!!

So, basically i went through anorexia and exorexia (excessive exercise) when i was a freshman/sophomore in college. i'm now a senior, and have recovered since junior year.

but this year i've been eating A TON of food, especially because i'm so hungry at night. i eat a small breakfast but a big lunch and dinner, and snack in between. i also usually exercise for 30 minutes most days.

but why am i so hungry at night?? i haven't been until this year. and i'm 5'7", the scale says i'm 110 pounds, but since this year i DEFINATELY noticed weight gain (even though the scale says my weight is the same as before).

does that sound like water weight, or actual weight gain?

and how do i control this hunger?? LOL thanks ;p

I'm going to study abroad in China this spring, and while I'm there, I might as well go to countries around China as well!

If I get a visa that allows me to go to China, will it also permit me to go to the surrounding countries, or do I need to get visas for those countries as well while I'm in China?

Also, can you take a bus or train between Veitnam, Thailand, Cambodia, etc.? I'd like to travel to many places without having to spend a lot on plane tickets!

I'm currently a senior and majoring in anthropology. I don't know why I chose this major, because I don't want to go to grad school at all (I'm not the academic type). I really want to work with people, like help people and talk to people as my job, and I'm wondering if adding Social Work would be worth it or not. Because it's more money (2 more years of school after this!), and I heard social workers/human service workers are way underpaid/over-stressed. Some make like...only 24,000 a year. But I feel like talking to/serving people is the only thing I'm good at lol.

Especially with this bad economy, I'm terrified that I'll be living in poverty and in student debt, even with a degree! There's virtually no jobs out there, and I'm scared to death of leaving college and living on my own with no help from my parents. I don't have much self-confidence, and that's one of the reasons I feel inadequate for most jobs out there. :/ I mean...I'm horrible at finances and am pretty naive...I have no plans and I don't want to end up as a house maid when I have a bachelors :-(

It's on my shoulder blade, so I've only been wearing tube tops to give it air, and so anything abrasive won't rub on it. When can I wear regular shirts that cover it up, and when can I sleep on my back again?

Also, how long do I have to wash it three times a day, and lotion it afterward?

i LOVE AFI. their album Sing the Sorrow has such deep meaning to me, it's so beautiful and emotional...

well, under my plum blossoms tattoo (on my back), i want to get AFI lyrics from that album.

so, i really like "We picked up the shards and formed them into shapes of stars that wore like an antique wedding dress"

in the poem's context, it makes sense that it means picking up the shatters of past experiences of pain and molding them into a concept of beauty, or moving on with life.

so if you read that on someone's back, what would you think? it's beautiful? it's stupid?

and i also really like "What follows me as the whitest lace of light...?" to me, it means those who died are watching over me (but that's my interpretation...) what about that one?

and then i like "Somewhere in the wilderness, we found salvation scratched into the earth like a message" it's really beautiful, but i have to find my own interpretation for that one yet...

i'm kind of deciding between the three...what do you guys think??? :O

my dad has been texting A LOT lately. my sister stole the phone from him one time to write down the number he's texting (because he usually doesn't text). and she asked him who it was..he just said his his friend "Joe." however, "Joe" lives in a different town then the area code of the number. so he was obviously lying.

then, my sister said she tried to look through his inbox/outbox, but my dad kept deleting them so there was no evidence. but she saw a text from the sender, saying "miss you." it also said something like, "he's being such an ***!" in another text my sister saw.

we called the number later, and it was a woman. but she didn't give her name.

my dad hasn't said anything really to my mom in quite a while.

does this sound like...cheating? it's so hard to believe but...what are ya'lls opinions on this? :/ do you think it is?

and what should my sister and I do?

I've been doing everything the artist told me to do (and he's a reputable artist!)...wash it 4 times a day and apply fragrance free lotion...stay out of pools...

It's a plum blossom branch, and one of the branch parts looks kinda smeary, and the black ink looks like it's starting to fill that part in. it's not a whole lot but is this normal?? will it go away after peeling??

I accidently exposed it to sunlight for like 7 minutes yesterday, and maybe stayed in a steamy bathroom for 5ish minutes this morning...but do you think those things ruined it? I'm trying to take such good care of it, but accidents do happen..:/ it concerns me that it was fine this morning but now...

Or does it sound like the healing process?

I kind of accidently exposed my new tattoo in the sun today (maybe a total of 7 minutes)...

Would that short amount of time really fade parts of a tattoo, or does it just sound like it's a healing phase?

Since my tattoo is so new, will it be okay? I didn't know water shouldn't hit it, but it was the only way to get all that blood and ointment off from the shop!!

Is it possible a lot of ink can wash out in that short time? :/ I'm so sad...lol

and also...is there a difference (personality-wise) between the two? (that is, before the clone becomes "evil")
