I'm a high energy person so I usually hit the light switches hard and fast. This often blows the bulb. How do I prevent this? Are my sockets dirty? Is there a better switch I can intall?

My hose bib comes out of the foundation wall at the top of the wooden deck. To use it from the yard I have to go up and around the deck. I would like to move the hose bib to the outside edge of the deck. If I put a poly pipe extension on it, can I insulate it and leave it on there throughout the winter or would it freeze or would the hose bib itself freeze (weakest link, thing)?

I know there is a leak between the water meter and the shut off valve under the house. The main line was replaced with poly a few years ago so either it's leaking where the old line meets the main line OR the poly itself has cracked against our rocky subsoil. My grass is green in places I don't water but we also have underground french drains near those areas. The water main runs through this same area. What are my options for locating the leaks myself? The plumber today said the leak was too great to spend money on a pressure test. Is there a long probe type moisture meter? or some sort of probe listening device? the soil is very wet under the porch but the main line doesn't pass there. There is a ac condesation line outputting there. Why can't we detach the main line and put a camera with a tracer in the main line (maybe inch and a half ID)?

is the leak between the meter and the control box OR could it be anywhere in the run of sprinklers? I didn't know if a water line runs to control boxes or just electrical wires

When I installed laminate flooring transtition T molding years ago, I screwed the track into the concrete directly with the blue masonry screws. Yesterday I read an article that said you should drill a 1/4" hole in the concrete, hammer in a dowel and then use wood screws. Which is better and are there any pros and cons to each?

On day 10 of a 14 day Daniel fast, my upper leg muscles continually ache and feel tired. No other muscles feel this way. For protein, i am eating various beans and couscous. is there anything else I should be aware of or can do to prevent permanent muscle loss? (I've read females over 30 don't make any significant new muscle but can only build on whatever they already have so I am concerned about loosing any muscle tissue. )

It seems the outlet that our computers are on don't have a breaker, but run off the Main. AND, recently we have to keep something plugged into all outlets for any of them to work. Is this an annoyance or a fire hazard? The breaker box is maxed out by the way.
