How good were 17 century doctors? Was there such a thing? What could they do and not do? Were there physicians on ships going out into the ocean?

For me it was 4 days, and I felt like I was actually going to die, my heart was skipping beats, I was in a bad bad bad bad way.. Luckily I got some natural remedies and thankfully they worked.

So I've had a really rough week and such. Approximately last week I started getting sleep problems (I've never had them before). I missed 3 days of sleep then the weather changed and I got 1 day of 7 hour sleep (amazing). I then missed 2 days of sleep and took Valerian FORTE and got 2 days of sleep. I thought by then I was back to normal so stopped taking it and I feal asleep for 1 day but the 2 days following I had insomnia again. I took another Valerian but didn't get to sleep.

Currently I haven't't had 2 days of sleep, the doctor gave me sleeping pills but he said its really addictive and should be used in extreme short term only.

I want to get back to regular sleeping and living, I don't know if this is from stress but it probably is. What do I do?

So about 3 weeks ago I got badly dehydrated and became very symptomatic for the first time in 3 years due to my underlying orthostatic intolerance. Luckily for me the blood test came back well and I got back to normal. The problem is that it generated allot of stress and anxiety; I've had panic attacks and being really shakey, to the point that its created allot of problems in my sleep.

5 days ago I slept 4 hours

4 days ago I didn't sleep at all

3 days ago I didn't sleep at all

2 days ago (it began raining and pressure shift outside) I slept 7 hours (felt like soooooo amazing and great I felt almost back to normal)

1 day ago I slept 1 hour

I don't want to go several days without sleep again as i feel like absolute ****. I heard valadrine is good for sleeping but I don't know much about it, I've never had insomnia or sleeping problems.

What do you guys recon? I'm seeing a doctor later today but I want to hear your opinions

Seriously, idiocy aside; why are we building more nuclear power plants? I get it, we NEED power - at the expense of life or all life though - Couldn't we just put solar panels on everyone's house and ask people to get more intelligent about their overall usage? I'm sure a nation wide program to teach kids about renewable energy could be made mandatory with a nice "must pass" curriculum. For the adults we could hold a huge discount on panels and hold conventions/exhibitions to demonstrate the effectiveness of solar power?

It makes no sense to build more nuclear power plants, I don't get why we are doing it all over the world. 1 mishap in 1 plant could potentially screw us all on the planet, so why build so many plants and risk major catastrophes? It seems like idiocy is prevalent where earth quake prone places are allowed to continue their nuclear operations despite what happened at Fukushima?

What the **** is going on, why are people proceeding with this global suicide?

So family is over in Hawai at the moment but its raining and they can't really enjoy the beaches. What indoor actives and things is there to do or see?

I feel like Fukoshima and all that happened screwed a beautiful country for me and others to visit. I wanted to go to Japan, do some surfing, do photography and some short documentaries and things, now its screwed... can't set there without worrying of getting cancer!

So I have a friend who is in another state and recently turned 20, he still lives with his mum and dad. At the moment he is a full time student and doesn't make much money on his own! Basically his folks listen in on all his phone conversations, go through his computer and private pictures, always make the dude feel bad and tell him how he doesn't have this and that ... They always judge him and try to form them after an image they have not that he has. It just sounds terrible. I don't know what advice to give him, hes stuck in that situation for at least another 3 - 4 years.

So... I can feel her looking, shes with her friends I look at her and she immediately looks away or looks down. Women do it allot when I'm in the city, they stare then pretend it wasn't at you... I sometimes run up to them and introduce myself, but some days I just feel like **** so I listen to my ipod and ignore the world.
