film critics almost always say "mainstream" type movies aren't very good, but they rave about movies that no one really likes. like Little Miss Sunshine.. the critics loved it, but i rented it, and it was just weird, and really not all that entertaining. Or, There Will Be Blood, or The Royal Tenenbaums... you know what i'm talking about. Why do these people say that they like these movies? NOTHING HAPPENS they are boring! I don't get it.

particularly the song Semi-Charmed LIfe? I saw it on someone's iPod as I Want Something Else by Matchbox 20. I'd heard the song before that, and i was really surprised that it was MB20 singing it, i thought that the person might have just made a mistake when they named the song or something. but then i looked for it on Limewire, and there it was, I Want Something Else by Matchbox 20. I even googled the lyrics, and they're there, under that name. But one of my friends saw it on my iPod, and told me it was totally wrong, that the song was actually Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind.... so i googled that too, and yep its the same song. I figured out that 3eb are definitely the original artists, but i was wondering if matchbox 20 had ever really covered it, or performed it or am i just crazy?

Simple Plan is my favourite band, and i'm not 12, i'm 18. I love their music and think that they are generally good guys ( not that i know them or anything it just comes off that way). I realize that some of their songs are kind of down-beat (read, whiny) like "I'm Just A Kid" and "Welcome to My Life", but not all of their songs are like that, and every band has some songs that are kinda sad. Why do people like to trash Simple Plan so much? Or call them gay? Since I'm such a big fan, I know that none of the five members happen to be gay.

it's a girl's name, it means a safe place. i got this name from one of my favourite books from middle school, That Summer, by Sarah Dessen. Haven was the main character. What are your opinions on this name?

Disney has hundreds of movies that everyone grew up with, and we all know the characters. Some of them have interesting names, what would you pick if your baby's name had to be the same as a Disney characters?

i've been hearing it a lot lately, mostly for girls, and i have to ask, what??! where did this absurd name come from, and why, if people must use it, are they giving it to girls instead of boys? the only time i have ever heard of this name previously is the actor channing tatum, and i really can't imagine that people are actually so obsessed with this guy to name their little girls after him. can someone please shed some light here?
