Why is metal considered "frozen" if it's room temperature?
Because it's not at freezing temperatures, so why call it frozen?
6 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology2 weeks agoWhy can't chess players calculate moves as good as bots?
There's still bots out there that can calculate moves better (or just as good) than the best players, why is chess so strategy focused rather than focused on calculation? This is coming from a 500 rated player so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question lol
2 AnswersBoard Games1 month agoCould a big plane like a boeing 737 land on an aircraft carrier if the carrier was going at a high speed in the same direction as the plane?
I don't know anything about physics or planes, so this might be a stupid question but I was just curious
8 AnswersPhysics1 month agoWhy did nature mess with dolphins this bad?
They have to live in the water, they can't walk, but they have to go up for air every 10 minutes. How could nature do that to them?
6 AnswersZoology2 months agoWhy do some vegetarians still eat fish?
Fish get tortured more than other meat animals, they aren't even killed quickly. They get deprived of oxygen/water and then put into a box filled with ice, where their sufferage will continue and they very slowly die. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat fish (I just find the taste disgusting). I just wanted to ask this cause I really don't understand it
19 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan2 months agoBack in the day, why were women basically a man's property, but it was still "women and children first" in an emergency situation?
It seems kinda contradictory that women had to do what men said, but if something bad was happening, like on the titanic, they still put women and children in the first life boats. Why was that the case if women were considered less than men?
11 AnswersHistory3 months agoWhy do buoys have bells?
I'd think it's so people don't sail into them in the dark, but if you are moving at any type of speed, you won't hear it before it's too late.
5 AnswersPolls & Surveys3 months agoWhat's a better tv series; Orphan Black or Prison Break?
I'm gonna start watching 1 of these but can't decide, I feel like prison break would be kinda stale cause the whole story is just some dude breaking his brother out of prison. But maybe I'm wrong

Singles & Dating3 months agoIf you swallow your gum, can you actually see it in your poop since it doesn't digest?
I read this on Google: "Your body can't digest gum, but a piece of swallowed gum will usually pass through your digestive system — basically intact — and come out in your stool about 40 hours later, just like almost everything else you eat." So... It would just stick in your gum? Lol
2 AnswersDiet & Fitness3 months agoHow do I delete my app progress from a mobile game?
I first deleted my app data, then I went to facebook apps and settings and deleted the app in question from my facebook account. I then opened the app again and logged in with my facebook, my level progress and username was still saved. How do I actually remove it?
1 AnswerFacebook3 months agoWhy does my Google Photos say I have no space to free up even though I just waited 12+ hours to back up 14 GB of pics and videos in Photos?
I just waited all this time and it only let me clear 573 mb or something, but before when I checked, one of the maps already had 12 GB to clear up. I think it only shows the backed up files from 1 of the small maps. I deleted cache, rebooted my phone, deleted app data, but nothing has worked :/ what else can I do?

I was hungry tonight so I ordered a 'Large' pizza, 14 inches. But it was huge! And they even had extra large, 16 inches. How do people eat that much?

29 AnswersDiet & Fitness4 months agoIs killing bad if the person killed is a killer of innocent people?
Just finished season 2 of Dexter, and at the end he asks "Am I evil? Am I good? I'm done asking those questions." And it made me wonder. Is it evil to kill people who kill innocent people? Because you are saving innocent lives. Not saying we need real life Dexters, but I am wondering if what he does is really that bad. What do you think?
2 AnswersDrama4 months agoIs the movie 'Honest Thief' some kind of remake of another movie?
It all just seems really, really familiar. Some guy calling the cops or FBI that he is some kind of wanted robber giving himself up cause he got a girlfriend, them not believing him, eventually getting double crossed by the agents who stole his money, him proving that he actually is the robber. And then the scene where he told a different agent that he was being double crossed, the agent telling him to turn himself in, but he refuses and goes on his way to prove his innocence. Or non innocence.
I really feel like I've seen this movie before, but maybe it's just recycled from a bunch of different movies. Anyone else got that feeling watching this movie?
