  • Why do mosquitoes love me?

I'm always the first to get bitten, it drives me crazy. Even if I use repellent, I still fall victim to their bites!

Any suggestions on how I can ward off the mosquitoes without dousing myself in chemicals.

  • A question about the Federal Reserve interest Rates?

I'm Australian, and we've just had another interest rate cut. I'm just curious how the Australian indexed interest rate compares to that of the USA.

What is the current federal reserve interest rate at?

    Thanks in advance.

  • How can I deal with a 'fear' of loving contact?

A brief outline: I love my partner dearly, and yet I find it so difficult to initiate any form of contact with him, be it even just a hug.

I find myself 'working myself up to it', which in itself , is ridiculous! I want nothing more than to have this loving contact, but for some reason I seriously hesitate.

I was never abused, nor do I have any valid reason for feeling this way.

    Any comments, suggestions or ideas'?

  • Has political correctness gone too far?

In Australia, newspapers are reporting that Shopping centre santas are no longer allowed to say "ho ho ho" but "ha ha ha" instead.

    This is for several reasons...

    1. Children are far too scared of santa, and ha ha ha is something children can relate to.

    2. That children will associate the "ho" in "ho ho ho" with another term which is considered derogatory.

Come on, let Santa say ho ho ho like he always has..

  • I need advice on expansion...?

I run and own a small First Aid and Medical Supply company in Australia. Presently, we sell kits and supplies, but we haven't yet moved into selling into industry or business.

Seeing as every workplace is different (and in Australia every workplace is required to have a maintained kit) what would be the best way to advertise my company to them.

    My fears are these:

With the influx of telemarketers and Hawkers, I do not want my company to be categorized with those types.

Because each business is so different, it is hard to advertise in industry specific publications.

I just need ideas... We are only a small company and I want to start off in corporate sales with out seeming like a desperate used car salesman.

    Thanks in advance.

  • I need some advice......?

A very close friend of mine is going through a terrible time. His sister's heart stopped and due to the fact she lacked oxygen for so long, she became brain dead. Tonight, the life support gets turned off and he wants to get together with us (his close friends) while this is happening as he can't bring himself to go see it being done.

I have shown him my sorrow and that I am there for him, but I am really at a loss of what to say. This is the second person near to us that we have lost in a very short time, but I still don't know what to say to the deceased loved ones.

Please help, any ideas will be really appreciated.

  • I need advice on letting things just flow....?

My new partner of only 6 months has brought up a valid issue with me..... Everytime he wants to help me, I refuse his help and say I want to do it on my own... This isn't a reflection on how I feel, I do just have an issue with having things done for me.. At the core, it makes me feel weak.

I know I am having trouble adjusting to the new relationship, but also, being independent is who I am. How can I let him into my life more, and allow hiim to help me without losing my independence..?

I really care about this guy, and just so you know, we aren't school kids, and this isn't some 'boy I like', we are adults living in a serious relationship.
