NBC Universal Television Studio and DIRECTV, the nation’s leading satellite television provider, today announced that the NBC Universal-produced daytime drama Passions has found a new home on DIRECTV where the popular program will continue for a 9th season. Under the new agreement, NBC Universal Television Studio will produce brand-new episodes to air Monday-Thursday on DIRECTV’s original programming channel, The 101. The celebrated daytime drama, which currently averages over 2 million viewers and enjoys an intensely dedicated fan base, will end its network run on NBC September 7 with a series of cliffhangers and will resurface on DIRECTV September 17, picking up where the series left off. The show will remain in its current time slot of 2 PM ET and DIRECTV will air encore marathons of the show each weekend.

"Passions fans no longer need to mourn the demise of their beloved program as it has found new life on DIRECTV," said Eric Shanks, executive vice president of Entertainment for DIRECTV. "We care about this show and are extremely proud to give it an exclusive home here at DIRECTV."

"It will reward the dedicated fans of the daytime drama who can continue to enjoy it on DIRECTV and also opens up a great new model for other television programs to find new life on other non-traditional platforms."

The majority of the cast and crew is expected to return when the one-hour series begins shooting the new DIRECTV episodes in August. DIRECTV will make it easy for Passions viewers to keep track of the happenings in "Harmony" by providing fans free installation, a DVR or HD receiver upgrade, and a portable DVD player by calling a special phone number (866-788-0003) or visiting the Web (www.directv.com/passions) that will give those without DIRECTV plenty of time to switch before the new season begins. Passions will be the first scripted drama series to join The 101 original program lineup which includes viewer favorites like Project MyWorld, The Fizz, havoc on The 101, and Championship Gaming Series. The series will broadcast four one-hour episodes per week, as well as a weekend marathon of that week’s shows so fans can catch up on the action each week.

Passions explores the lives, loves and losses of four core families in the small New England town of Harmony: the Cranes, the Lopez-Fitzgeralds, the Bennetts and the Russells, each of whom have their own distinct and diverse personalities. The series debuted on NBC in 1999 and has routinely been amongst the top daytime programs for women ages 18-34, and currently is tied for #1 among all daytime dramas in both women ages 18-24 and females 12-24.

New episodes of Passions will begin shooting in August and will continue to be taped at the CBS Studio Center in Studio City, Calif. The show is produced by NBC Universal Television Studio in association with Outpost Farms Productions, Inc.

A few weeks back, i had a dream and it has bothered me ever since. In this dream i was walking in my usually safe and quite neighborhood with my mom and some how we got separated and i was stopped by a man who asked me to take a survey. i agreed. then my mom reappeared and the man shot my mom and threw me into the back of a van and speed away. A few things about this dream:

Before i fell asleep the thought of a Dr. Phil rerun that played that day was about Natalee Holloway and Sex Trafficking came into my mind. The next night a man who looked just like the man in my dream was on the news and had just been released from jail for child abduction, molestation, and pornagraphy charges. I have had what my friends and i call DeJa Vu dreams were you see something simalar to something you saw in a dream in real life. Now ever sincei am scared that something is going to happen to me or my family. How can i stop worrying and just move on with my life? I was never like this. I new the risks were

I want to try out for winter cheerleading next year and i am sure that i need to start preparing now.(the only reason i am not doing it for fall is because i had appendicitis and could not try out ) I have never ever cheered before in my entire life, and the only thing that might help me is the fact that i can do a perfect cartwheel. What should i do to start preparing for cheerleading. My goal is to make JV. please help

2. Could it be a sign? and if so for what?

3. Should i be worried? (cuz i am)

how do i bring it back down to size when i don't know what i did to make it this big?

When it started to ask me to verify a subcribtion i thought i would just have to type in my info and it would continue service but McAfee wants me to spend alot of money just continue a service. Is there an LEGAL way to fix this with out spending an arm and a leg???? please help it is starting to get in the way.

I'm in high school and i've NEVER cheered before. I've always wanted too. I couldnt try out this year due to scheduling problems, but i want to try out next year. We have a freshman squad, and jv, and varsity. I don't want to cheer on the freshman squad next year, i want to be with people my own age. So what can i do to make sure i'm good enough for jv? I'm tall and thin and one of my friends told me i would be a good base. I am a freshman this year and i can do a cartwheel and that is about it. I am also hoping that cheerleading can bring me out of my shell little.

Ok I really want a My Space because all my friends always talk about how cool they are....but I hear about all those girls who got hurt, kidnapped or worse cause of them. I bought a shirt at old navy last weekend

and i've washed it once since it got and the first time i washed it it streched out a little but not enough to worry about. I bought it as a medium and then when i i washed it again today it got streched out from about a medium to about an x-large. Is there a way i can get it back down to at least a size between medium and large cuz anything bigger than that and it is practically falling off of me.

there is a HUGE crater like hole in his face. what should he do?

I dont see my orthodontist til the 19th and i lost my wax a week ago and my braces cut the inside of my cheek and it keeps catching and causing me to bleed.
