  • in Orange County , ca. , if your yearly residential lease is up, do u just have to move on that day or do u go month to month automatically?

We are in a residential lease for the last 6 years in Orange County California. Every year, about 60 days prior to the lease expiration date, our landlord emails us to see if we would be interested in signing another year. We do, and then he sends us a lease amendment . This time we never got contacted regarding this. Our lease is up in May. I read our lease as well as the California renters handbook and I'm so confused about if we just automatically start going month to month once our lease expires or do we automatically just have to move out without getting or giving notice? We have a child in school and our life is on this house so I'm stressing out here. I see nothing on my lease saying notice is required under the lease section, only under periodic agreement which were not. Does anyone have any idea how this works? Honestly I'm a bit afraid to contact the landlord with the fear that we have to move. We've been perfect tenants, never late on rent, and maintain the property according to his instructions. Please advise if you can. Thanks!.....

  • Which would be a better gift for a 13 year old boy?...?

My son is 13. His true interests are surfing, fashion, and a huge movie buff.

He's an only child , and only has a few friends. He's very shy. For Christmas he showed a lot of interest in a PS4, and the new bb8 Star Wars droid that u control with your phone. He "likes" Star Wars and "likes" video games...somewhat.

He's had a wii and an Xbox 360 which he plays now and then. Doesn't go berserk over them like some kids. I can't afford both so which gift would be better? Ps4 I think would keep him more social with his friends, but the droid would make his friends interested too . My son has some social issues. Nice boy but has anxiety.

  • Why do the same medications affect me differently at different times?

I am baffled by this. My doctor is too or he thinks I m crazy. But here s the problem and I m hoping there s someone out there that has an idea that I can pass on to the doctor.

I don t take any medications regularly. But if I need an antibiotic, the occasional valtrex, or even an Ativan if life is crazy , you never know how I will react to it. I m 49 (almost 50) and female. I m definitly having perimenapausal /hormonal issues that fluctuate throughout the month, which results in a lot of anxiety at some times and totally fine at other times. Occasionally I have to take valtrex for herpes outbreak. Usually it makes me feel a little uncomfortable but it s tolerable. Recently it made me feel like I took poison . Every side effect in the book. Antibiotics are hit and miss. Ones I could tolerate 3 months ago , gave me panic attacks or severe nausea this time. Even driven, in the past I be taken it very occasionally if I had a hard day or need help sleeping. Half a mg would relax and put me to sleep. If I take it now, it does the opposite and makes me feel like a panic stricken mess and if I take more I m sick as a dog. But why would medications that I ve taken before fluctuate like that? It s so weird but very hard to deal with. S it due to my hormones maybe? Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you

  • Should I expect benzo withdrawal feelings?

my son was rushed to the ER for anxiety and ocd. In the ER, the doc gave him Klonopin. They kept him on .5mg twice a day for 8 days now. He's 12. He saw his doctor, an adolescent psychiatrist who found a diffrenet medication for him and wants him off the klonipin. I KNOW how bad benzodiazepine withdrawal is, but i'm wondering if my little boy will feel that. Like I said, he's been on it 8 days, and the doc will be tapering of for the next 10 days by dropping it to .25 for 3 days and then off the am dose, and then doing the same for the pm dose. will he feel benzo withdrawal or is that ridiculous after a short time use? doc says shes not worried but i'm wondering if anyone has personal experience in this

  • will lexapro replace remeron?

what I mean by that is....

I was on remeron for a year. slowly weaned off, but 2 weeks later having severe discontinuation symptoms, mainly anxiety and panic...constantly. Doctor thinks its my own underlying new anxiety disorder...maybe so... but I've read some pretty bad blogs from people that dealt with the same thing. Everything I read show them having to go back on remeron. I developed sort of an allergic reaction to remeron towards the end, so I was pulled off at 5mg. They are trying to stabilize be with Ativan, but Ativan doesn't always make me feel calm. sometimes it exaggerates the anxiety. I know, weird. All benzos do that to me. The doctor wants me to give it 1 more week to rule out the possibility of withdrawal symptoms, and then try me on a very small dose of Lexapro. Will Lexapro cover the same areas of the brain that remeron did? If remeron just really messed up my receptors, is it scientifically equal? I really scared of always feeling like this, but I cant go back to remeron.

    please advise if you can.

    thank you!

  • what is the difference between generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder?

I do know what a panic attack is, but I was wondering the main differences between these 2.

would Lexapro work well for either of these?

    would remeron work better?

    thanks

  • concerned about melatonin and my liver...?

started taking 5mg of melatonin 10 days ago due to doctor stopping a different medication. I was taking remeron for sleep for a year, and it started to effect me badly. so the doctor slowly tapered me down to mg, and pulled me off. in place he said to take melatonin 5mg. It has helped me sleep, but I am really itchy. I brought it up to the doc and he says its probably from the remeron discontinuatiom, however, I get itchy an hour after I take the melatonin, but i'm slightly itchy in the day too. 2 docs say melatoninis harmless for me and its no problem. well, could the melatonin be affecting my liver and causing me to itch? could it give me liver damage in such a short time? I don't have any welts or rashes, just itching from my scalp to my feet. Im not allergic to foods either, and I don't take any other medications. could this be affecting my liver??? please help, I am really worried.

  • Is melatonin causing my itchiness?

    brief history:

Was taking 15mg of Remeron(mirtazapine) for a year for sleep.

started feeling so bad on it, doc tapered me off slowly, and at 5mg, I jumped off. He immediately had me start taking melatonin 5mg a night to help with the insomnia from the withdrawal. First couple of days were fine, after a week of being off the Remeron I've been so itchy and swollen feeling. Swollen in the way of cant get my rings off, etc, like you had a lot of salt the night before.(which I didn't) go through spurts of severe itching, but no rash. I asked the doc about it yesterday and he does not think its from the melatonin, at all. Possibly the withdrawals from remeron. wondering if anyone has had this experience or is experienced in this area. Im really worried i'm getting more allergic to the melatonin every day. I guess i'm scared that i'm going to take it 1 night and end up with my throat closing, etc.

Is this itching mor likely remeron discontinuation or 5mg of melatonin.?

  • can a melatonin supplement mess with your menstral cycle?

5 days ago I started taking Melatonin 5mg as directed by my doctor. I was on Remeron(mirtazapine) for a year and a half for sleep, and I started getting a bad reaction to it, so the doctor tapered me off to a very low dose and then just pulled me off completely. In its place, for sleep, he really didn't want to get me started on a sleeping pill like ambien, etc..., so told me to take the melatonin 5-10mg a night.

Im doing 5mg, and I sleep for about 4-5 hours which is pretty good for remeron discontinuation. However, 2 days after I started taking the melatonin, I started getting menstral cramps and spotting. I still had about 2 weeks till my next period was due. now, 4 days into it I have my period full blown, with god awful cramps. I'm 48 and my period is like clockwork every 4 weeks. Is it possible the melatonin did this, and if so is it dangerous??

    thanks

  • are compounding pharmacies safe and legit?

My doctor has been prescribing me dosages to taper off an antidepressant medication. It was working until recently it started to make me feel sick. Since I'm already down pretty low, from 15 to 5 mg, the doc decided to pull me off since the 5mg had all of the sudden started working against me. They thought maybe I developed an allergic or paradoxical reaction. They made me a couple of 2mg to take just for 2 days. I feel much better on the 2mg than the 5mg. Plus I'm taking melatonin at night for sleep just since I started this a couple days ago. I'm really surprised I can sleep on 2mg and just a little melatonin (5mg). However, now i'm supposed to drop the antidepressant(compound) to 0 mg. Here's my "worry" and I suppose I just want to know what are the chances, but mainly I'm looking to be reassured all is ok.

I'm concerned that the medication was made wrong. For instance, the 2mg's are much much higher, and that's why I didn't feel the drop badly from 5 to 2, and i'm sleeping. Therefore if the 2mg's are more like 8mg or higher, I'm gonna be in bad shape at 0mg.

this is an accredited pharmacy when I checked online. nothing bad throught the BBB either. Do you think I'm being ridiculous? Its in a high end area of southern California too...near a major hospital...if that matters.

  • Need ride/attraction info for universal studios in north hollywood?

swe are taking the family over spring break. 2 of the people going are elderly...but they do like rides.

I went on the universal website, and the ride info isn't real clear.

is the simpsons ride a real rollercoaster or is it strictly a simulator like

    say star tours at Disney?

    what about the transformer ride?

    the mummy ride?

    king king?

mainly those 4. the people joing us can handle high thrill if its only viual, but real movement, like a coaster would be dangerous for them.

also, if the mummy ride is a coaster, is it more comparable to space mountain, thunder mountain, or more mellow than that?

(sorry to compare everything to disneland)

    thanks!!

  • Terrible sleep problems from remeron discontinuation.....?

I was on remeron for a year , 15mg, for sleep. gained a lot of weight, and wasn't feeling myself on it. doc decided it was best to have me stop. I also have some form of an autoimmune disease that all of the sudden made me extremely sensitive to many medications.

After many attempts to slowly taper me off remeron by cutting the dose in half etcc...it failed. I couldn't sleep was so anxious, just a mess. doc decided to try a compounding pharmacy to wean me off 2mg at a time. (approx. 16-20% at first) worked like a charm. slept no problem. just recently I dropped from 5mg to 4mg. again, only 20%, but I haven't slept more than 3 hrs tops a night, its been 4 nights and I'm a mess.feel very sleep deprived. but really a wired feeling. heart racing, and always feeling winded, like I cant quite catch my breath, especially when i'm full. I feel good when my eyes are watering and i'm yawning, but have barely been able to do that. Why is this medication all of the sudden doing this to me when it was working fine before with the taper schedule?

will it likely mellow out and will I adjust? anybody know about how long??

I can't take any other sleep aid because I developed a paradoxical effect to benzos, (they give me panic), and the doc really doesn't want me to start ambien or similar. I have tried sleepytime tea, Benadryl, etc. nothing helps. my heartrate is very fast too now.

again, is this common? how long till my body may adjust?

    THANK YOU!
