  • Need a baby girl name for a story?

So, I'm attempting to write a novel about teenage pregnancy. The parents in the story are named Mara Patterson and Ryder Kaufman. I'm still planning things at this stage but I do know that Mara and Ryder are going to have either a daughter or twin daughters. So...suggestions for both, anyone? And which do you think I should go with?

  • Teens: Do you consider yourself pro-choice or pro-life?

I am heavily pro-choice. And as long as you respect my opinions, I'll respect yours. I WILL report your answer if you are hateful to anyone else, no matter which side you take.

  • Need help choosing names for three siblings?

So, I can't decide what to name these three siblings. It's going to be one girl and two boys, and the girl will be born either first or last. Currently, I'm thinking...

    Jacob Christian

    Mason Edward

    Ava Madeline

    or

    Ruby Madeline

    Gabriel Christian "Gabe"

    Maxwell Adam "Max"

I'll take any suggestions, but no names that start with D or K/C and I want to keep Christian and Madeline as middle names. I also don't care about popularity of the names. Thanks :)

  • Teens: What would you rate yourself on the Kinsey Scale?

The Kinsey Scale, for those who don't know, is a scale for determining a person's heterosexuality/homosexuality. It ranges from 0-6 with 6 being gay/lesbian, 3 being bisexual and 0 being completely heterosexual. If you're confused just do a Google search or read the Wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_scale

  • Teens: What would you like your wedding to be like?

I'm just really curious as to what other people are envisioning out there...Plus, you know, it's fun to dream about this stuff while you're young.

Me, I want to get married at this old mansion near where I live. It's kind of a cultural museum now and really, really cool. They have this amazing ballroom where I would like to hold the ceremony and reception and downstairs there's a large dining room where I would hold the cocktail hour and dinner. I would like to hold the wedding on New Years Eve too; obviously we would watch the ball drop and stuff, which might be neat. The ballroom would be decorated with lots of candles, a string quartet would play while I walk down the aisle and both of my parents would escort me. My dress would be glamorous, sophisticated and hopefully very retro, kind of like vintage Hollywood. I'm thinking it will be a mermaid-style, but a tea length dress sounds nice as well; whatever it is, there will be lace and I want to wear a headband, not a veil. My bouquet would be completely made of red roses and the color of the actual dress will be white or ivory.

I'd like for the bridesmaids to be in red and, if my fiancé likes, the groomsmen would have matching ties, if only to give the wedding party a cohesive look. Each bridesmaid would also be carrying a single red rose and the flower girl would scatter red rose petals. The food would obviously be decided later, but I'm thinking I'd like to have my aunt and uncle (they own a food truck) cater regardless of what is served. There will be not just a cake but a whole dessert BAR, a beloved tradition on my mom's side, haha. A DJ would play at the reception so that people can request songs; I've been to a few weddings and its hard to really dance at all to live bands, however cool they are.

Wow...I didn't even know that I had that much planned, haha. Uhm...Alright, what about you guys?

  • What would be a nice quote or some song lyrics to put on my wall?

Not directly on my wall; I'm going to put them on a canvas or something then hang that. Does anybody have some nice and inspiring poems, quotes or song lyrics??? For lyrics I was either thinking something from a Mumford and Sons song or the Les Misérables soundtrack. For poems, I really like "Hope" by Emily Dickinson. I don't really have much for quotes...a couple from Dr. Seuss and Victor Hugo but...

  • Do you think Anna is acceptable in this case, help please?

In a story plotline that I recently developed, there is an anorexic/self-harming boy by the name of Liam. He's supposed to fall in love with a girl named Anna, and while

the name is perfect for her, I'm afraid it would be insensitive of me to have her and

Liam fall in love. Do you think that it's okay? Or should I find another? Ana is a common nickname for anorexia, by the way.

  • Where do you want to go to college and what do you want to major in?

If you're already in college or a senior, you can just say where you're going and what your major is. Me, I'm really not sure where exactly I want to go to college. Ideally I'd like to live in Seattle but I live on nearly the opposite side of the country so airfare to

go on college visitations might be an issue. There are a lot of good schools near where I live, though...Anyways, I'm pretty sure that I want to major in social work with a minor in anthropology. Learning about other cultures in fascinating and I've always had an urge to help people.

Me, I'm just chillin' in my bedroom packing for NAQT (seriously, look it up) Nationals in Atlanta tomorrow and listening to my Mumford & Sons station on Pandora :) Pretty f**king awesome if you ask me. Obviously I'm in a pretty good mood. So...what about you guys?
