  • I'm in a class settlement against my auto lender. What can happen after, win or lose?

I received a court order in the mail a few days ago saying I was involved in a class settlement against my auto lender. The order gave me the opportunity to opt-out of the suit. However, I received the letter one day after I was to send out my exclusion letter saying I didn't want to sue. All this to sue my auto lender over $15-$63, don't think that would be a good idea. I'm worried my auto lender would suddenly treat me different. There have been a few times where I have been a few days, 2-3, late on my payment. Nothing crazy and they have always been fine and never called to yell. I also feel the lawyers are making out on this one too. The auto lender has agreed to pay $12.8 million so the people suing them, i.e. their customers don't have to pay for this inconvenience more or less. $15-$63 per person and $12.8 million for 9 lawyers................ : (

  • Are insurance companies going to do better or worse not that the new bill is now law?

I have been on the job market since late last year and have been keeping close tabs on new jobs in my area in many different fields. Looking in newspapers, job agencies, job fair and the Internet. Since Monday morning, the day after the bill was signed, I've been receiving job notices and emails from insurance companies. I have asked a question earlier about this and really they all are saying the opposite of whats happening. Most of the people answering say the industry with take a dive and is very unlikely companies will be doing the recruiting that I've been seeing.

For the record I have no experience in insurance sales or sales for that matter. I feel I 'm a great value to any company, come on I know I work my butt off. However, I'm realistic. How and or why would a insurance company want to hire me to sale insurance. I will also say it's all door to door and direct marketing leads.

  • Are the insurance company's going to start hiring more or less people due to the new health care bill passed?

I watched the passing of our new health care bill Sunday night and with great curiosity Monday morning I read a large number if spam from various insurance companies. I had a feeling that forcing people to by insurance would be a welcome idea by the IC's. What do you think? More jobs or less jobs? More I.C.'s in our future? Popping up in our neighborhoods, knocking on our doors. Now, I know they are going to be selling various types of insurance, not smut, just wondering if we need to be worried about fraud when looking for a job? (I know don't give any money for a job and research, research, research.)
