  • Working fast food help?

    Hi everyone,

I have gotten my first ever job as a fast food cashier. I'm really nervous because I have heard horror stories about fast food and I'm worried I won't be able to remember anything. If anyone has tips for working cash register and/or drive thru they would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks :)

  • Does my dog have OCD (LONG)?

    Hi everyone,

I'm beginning to get really worried about my dog. A bit of background on him, he is a cavalier King Charles spaniel and we got him when he was two years old. His previous owners would lock him up outside all day, everyday. When we first got him he had so many issues. He had severe separation anxiety, couldn't keep his food down, didn't know any commands and wasn't toliet trained. We have now been able to solve his eating issues and now keeps his food down, he knows sit, lie down, stay and come, he is toilet trained and he only has a very mild case of separation anxiety and only in certain situations.

He has always been a bit strange about things like wanting to lick your hands and face but lately it has gone crazy. He lays on the floor for hours on end with his nose buried into where the kitchen bench meets the floor sniffing, licking and chewing. He has done it in corners of our house before but never this bad. He doesn't respond to calling his name or offering him food. We physically have to drag him away. He also does the same thing with our lights. He jumps on his hind legs and sniffs the air and sometimes barks at them. We have lifted him up to smell them before and he went crazy and scratched me trying to get closer to them. He also wants to lick your hands and face constantly if you move away he will follow you and try to keep licking. I did some research and I'm worried he may have OCD.

    sorry this is so long!

    Any ideas appreciated, thankyou!

  • Is online schooling bad?

I have a real hard time with school. I'm in year 9. People don't bully me or anything but me and my other friend didn't really fit in with everyone else and both group of friends we have hung out with didn't like us and would gossip about us behind our backs. I think it's because we are really close and because we don't like talking about boys and things 24/7. So know we just have each other. Also I also feel uncomfortable all the time at school, I feel really uneasy as soon as I get there. I always feel really anxious about school. It has started to affect me alot because I always feel bad about school I thought online schooling would be a good option but my mum says that is just how life is and I would just be running away from my problems and working and the realm world is like that so I should just get used to it. But I don't think I can handle it anymore, what is your opinion on online schooling? Would going to a traditional school teach me how to deal with the real world? Would online school be running away?

  • Why is being feminine a bad thing?

I'm a girl who is naturally girly and feminine, I love being a girl!

I didn't think I was that feminine and girly but people keep making nasty comments at how much of a girl I am. I usually wear skirts and dresses just because I found them more comfortable than shorts and I get claustrophobic in long pants (I know I'm weird haha). I like styling my hair because I find it fun and experimenting with my hair entertains me. I don't wear makeup or anything the closest I come is wearing lip balm at school. I shower everyday and brush my teeth 3 times a day and wear deodorant, but isn't that what everyone does? Ugh, it is just frustrating when people scoff and say things like "you are too much of a girl" as if it is an insult! What is wrong with being a girl? What should I do? Try to be more masculine?

  • Parents don't support my career choice?

I have recently been looking into what career I would like to have when I'm older. I have been looking on all university websites at the courses and I can't find anything I would like to do. I had a look at a career website and I noticed beautician. I did some research and it looks like something I would really enjoy. I love everything about beauty and I wouldn't mind waxing or massaging other people because that stuff doesn't bother me and I think I would enjoy it. I found a beauty school and the course I would like to do and my dream is to open up my own beauty salon. When I told my mum about this she didn't take me seriously. But when I explained to her it was what I really wanted to do she said I could but she would be disappointed in me. She later on said she wouldn't be disappointed and she loves me but whenever I bring it up she gets really mad and says she doesn't want me to do it. I got A's in science and maths and B's in everything so they don't want me to "waste my brain" and would rather me do something more rewarding. But I don't really want to do teaching or nursing or any of those things because they don't interest me. But now I am starting to think I should because I'm scared I might regret my choice later on and wish I earnt more money and did something "more rewarding." What should I do? I'm desperate guys, please help.

I love hearing these so let me know :) the longer and more detailed the better!

    Here is mine:

~ Wake up at like 6 and make my bed, open blinds, tidy room etc.

~ Change my Christmas countdown on my whiteboard.

~ My dogs usually come into my room now so I will give them cuddles and play with them.

~ I play Christmas carols and dance around my room, no joke.

~ I go on my iPad - watch Christmas youtube videos, go on facebook, go on yahoo answers and stuff.

~ Wake up my sister at 7:30 and then we both go wake up my parents.

~ Me and sister sit next to tree while mum takes photos and dad makes himself a coffee ahaha.

    ~ We open our stockings.

~ We open our presents :D

~ Give mum and dad their presents and the we give each other our presents (me and my sister i mean)

~We play with all our new things, try on any new clothes etc.

~ Pack up the car with our bags and food and stuff for our trip to our beach house (its summer during Christmas where I live)

~ Drive down and then unpack when we get there.

~ Go to the beach with our aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents who all also have beach houses.

~ Go back to my Granny's beach house and have a big yummy lunch and just hang around and talk.

~ Get changed into nice clothes and get all glammed up.

~ Drive to my uncles house which is AAAAAAAAAAGES away from our beach house haha :D

~ When we get their we say hi to all our cousins and grandparents on that side and stuff.

~ Adults and older teens talk whilst my little cousin takes me to her room and shows me what she got for Christmas.

~ Go swimming in their HUGE pool and play with all their pool toys and stuff.

    ~ Have a BBQ and desserts....yum :)

~ Sit around the tree and exchange gifts.

~ Muck round with our new stuff.

~ Some of the kids (me, my sister, my younger cousin and older cousin) or just me and my little cousin go for another swim while its dark and turn all the bright lights in the pool on and it looks awesome!!

~ Dry off and then just chill.

~ Pack all our stuff up and drive back to our beach house.

~ All our cousins come over to our beach house and play board games til it's really dark.

~ Once its really dark the kids all go to the oval and play spotlight til we all go tired and then all go back to our own beach houses.

~ Once me and my sister are back Dad makes us milkshakes and we all talk about our day and our presents and we muck around with our presents a bit more.

~ Then we all cuddle up and watch Christmas specials til I can stay awake anymore and go to bed.

That is my super duper long, detailed Christmas routine :) I hope you enjoyed reading it!! Sorry if its too detailed but whatever I dont really care if you cant be stuffed reading it all.

I love Christmas sooooooo much :D

  • My cat is scared if my new dog?

    Hey Everyone!

We recently adopted a medium sized red heeler x from the pound. He is the most gentle dog when playing with our small cavis and he is also gentle with cats. But our cat is so scared of him that she won't meet him and find out that he is nice. If we hold her and bring her to him she will scratch us to pieces to get away! We have tried putting her in a crate but she just hides in the corner and hisses at him when he gets close. We know he would never hurt her, she walked into the lounge room one day and didn't realise he was there and he went over and sniffed her with a wagging tail then went on his way! So please tell me how can I properly introduce them so my cat isn't afraid of him?

    Sorry this is long

  • How to stop being the ugly friend?

Ok my bestfriend is perfect! She is so pretty inside and outside. She is so feminine and ladylike and everyone thinks she is so sweet and pretty (which she is) and even the "popular kids" like her. I am not as pretty as her AT ALL, she has wavy blond hair and big blue eyes and I have browny blonde hair and grey eyes :/ she is so lady like and sweet and I try to be but I just feel so unfeminine when I'm with her. How can I feel prettier and more feminine when I'm with her? How do I get people to like me as much as they like her? I probably sound stupid but I'm starting to feel really ugh :-( thanks

  • Laptop suited to my lifestyle?

    Hey Everyone!

I am looking to buy a new laptop. I will need it for three different reasons - school, home and traveling. Here is what I will be using it for:

School - typing word documents, making power point presentations, accessing the Internet for websites like edmodo, mathletics, educational websites and watching youtube videos.

Home - typing word documents, accessing the Internet for websites like tumblr, youtube, Facebook and club penguin, editing & storing photos and videos, playing minecraft, using Skype.

Traveling - sending emails, uploading pictures to Facebook, typing word documents and playing minecraft.

The laptop will need to have a minimum of 4 hours battery life, be lightweight and compact and below $600. Any other suggestions?

I was looking at the Sony Vaio e11. Do you think that would be a good laptop for me? Here is a link: http://www.laptopmag.com/review/laptop/sony_vaio_e...

    Thanks!

  • Which Mac do I get - so confused?

    Hy everyone,

I need a Mac for high school but there are so many! I'm sort of leaning towards the air just because they're cheaper. The battery life need to be 7hrs + for school, I will be using Internet, word all the basic stuff (no gaming and things like), a DVD/CD slot is preferable but not necessary, I'm thinking possibly 13" and no higher because I have to carry around school but 11" is a possibility but I'm not sure how big that is really (can anyone explain it visually, I need an SD cars slot, retina isn't necessary but would be nice. I don't need if anyone of these qualities fit into a Mac but just wondering! Thanks!

If have a couple of questions:

    1. Do you think he is Rottie x Cocker spaniel or is there something else in there?

    2. How much exercise will he need? (He is 4 years old)

    Thankyou!

  • What breed is this dog (pictures)?

My family and I are looking at fostering this rescue dog :) he sounds like the perfect dog for us and we are thinking of fostering and possibly adopting him in the near future. We were just wondering what breed you think he is (it says he is a pure mastiff but it doesn't look like it AT ALL), here is the link:

    http://cdn.petrescue.com.au/uploads/pet_photos/239...

He is the larger one on the left.

    Thankyou!
