Have you seen Pacquiao's physique lately? It's far cry from the solid, bulkier Pacquiao we've seen in 2008-2011.?
He seems back to his old slimmer side, the one we've seen back in 2004-2007. What happened? Why is he losing weight at the time when he is maturing and growing physically?
14 AnswersBoxing7 years agoDo you believe the WBC will just stand idly by when the Floyd-Pacman Biggest Fight Gets Made?
I think the WBC will dip its dirty fingers in a bid to take its piece of the action and share of the income pie. It will assert its right to sanction the fight since Floyd is their champion in the welter and junior middle. By sanctioning the fight and mandating that it be for both of Floyd's titlesd at 147 and 154, it can spoil the negotiations with the threat of stripping Floyd of his titles if it is not included in the deal. Floyd would not like that since he believes his WBC titles make him marketable. Without those titles, he is nothing and Floyd does not fight for nothing.
WBC could ruin that fight with its intrusion, you know.

The choice of their opponents which somehow mirror each other's style of fighting is uncanny.
Hope springs eternal.
9 AnswersBoxing7 years agoJust Saw Again That Boxing Bout on TV Where one Fighter Seemed Inhuman?
Even the ring commentators described him as like machine. He hardly sweat and breathe hard despite following and punishing his foe from the first round until the fight was stopped in the last round. Punches, including flush shots to the face seemed to just bounced off him. One of his ear was busted though due to some punches that landed in that area. yet, he was never bothered by it. His body and legs remained firm and steady despite the rigors of chasing and constantly moving around the ring. After the bout, he even celebrated with a party and he was reported to be still up and about till wee hours the following morning. How would you explain that?

2 AnswersBoxing7 years agoWill the UK Outstrip the USA as Leading Boxing Power?
UK currently has five world titlists--Carl Froch,Kell Brook. Carl Frampton, Scott Quigg and Jamie McDonnell while the USA has about a baker's dozen: Andre Ward,Anthony Direll, Bernard Hopkins,Jermain Taylor, Danny Jacobs, Floyd Mayweather, Demetrius Andrade, Cornelius Bundrage, Danny Garcia, Terrence Crawford, Mickey Bey, Lamont Peterson and Jessie Vargas.
But many of these American world champions are already old or aging or figured not to last long given their record or caliber.
Uk has a lot of future title threats who are still young and prime in Amir Khan, Tyson Fury, Derek Chisora, Anthony Agogo, Anthony Joshua, George Groves, Martin Murray, Billy Saunders, Frankie Gavin, Lee Selby, Paul Butler.

7 AnswersBoxing7 years agoWill Pacquiao's and Arum's Tax Woes in the USA and the Philippines Drive Them to Desperation?
To land the so-called richest boxing fight in history versus Floyd Mayweather? If so, will they be now amenable to let Floyd promote it and dictate most of the terms and conditions, including the OSDT, the purse as well as revenue split, the type of gloves etc...?

6 AnswersBoxing7 years agoPeople are already comparing GGG with the ATG hardest hitters at 160?
Who are the fighters GG has beaten at middleweights that approximated the punching power of the ATGs like Robinson, Zale, LaMotta, Monzon, Hagler had fought and beaten to merit such?
9 AnswersBoxing7 years agoWhat is the more impressive KO, Golovkin-Geale or Donaire-Montiel?
Fans watching and the media covering the event were gushing over Golovkin's KO of Geale recently. If memory serves, Donaire knocked out Montiel precisely with a counter after the Mexican had momentarily landed with his own punch. I think Donaire's KO of the highly-touted and KO artist himself Montiel is the more impressive and gruesome with Montiel's feet even twitching!

Argentina is fighting Germany for the World Cup of Soccer championship in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Had there been a big, memorable fight between an Argentine and a German in pro or even amateur boxing? Carlos Monzon fought many times in Europe, any chance he fought a German?
3 AnswersBoxing7 years agoWill the Boxing Summit Pact Help Finally Force a Pac-Floyd Fight?
Read that a boxing summit among the four major sanctioning/governing bodies (WBA WBC, IBF and WBO) will be held soon and high on their agenda is an agreement on including in their respective ratings even rival champions as recognized by them. This means that Manny Pacquiao as WBO champion can be designated by WBA and WBC as top rated and mandatory challenger for Floyd Mayweather and by IBF for Shawn Porter and vice versa, virtually paving the way for unifications. Failure to comply will mean title/s being stripped and recognition withdrawn from dissenting champion/s. Which could adversely affect their popularity marketability and viability as pro boxer.
Do you think that pact will eventually help facilitate/force a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather and others who have been avoiding each other?
Why or why not?
