"Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold, new things have come." 2 Corinthians 5:17 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 "The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace." Romans 8:6

  • Followers of Christ, how is it possible to continue to invite “Santa Claus” into your home?

Followers of Christ, how is it possible to continue to invite “Santa Claus” into your home after you know the truth about him?

I highly recommend that all followers of Christ who celebrate Christmas with “Santa Claus” take time to read the information shown at the link below. Honestly, I don’t understand how a follower of Christ can reject the truth when it is put before him in an organized manner. The “coincidences” in the document are too high to ignore. Even if you don’t agree with some of the points in the article, how could someone overlook the points that you do agree with?

Do you love Jesus? Do you worship God? Do you not owe it to yourself and to your children to read about “Santa Claus: The Great Imposter”?

There is no way these connections from Santa to Satan and counterfeits of the Lord Jesus Christ is just a haphazard fairy tale of history. There is an author. There is an creator. And he is Satan.

You have to be blind to not see the possible connection. And you have to be spiritually blind to not see the possible spiritual damage such a massive, false-faith, God-like, LIE is doing to the faith and trust of that young child.

  • Christians, what is the origin of the Catholic Church?

The Roman Catholic Church contends that its origin is the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ in approximately 30 A.D. The Catholic Church proclaims itself to be the Church that Jesus Christ died for, the Church that was established and built by the Apostles. Is that the true origin of the Catholic Church? On the contrary. Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus, or His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship / adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix), petitioning saints in Heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church tradition and Scripture.

So, if the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament, what is the true origin of the Catholic Church?

  • According to the Bible, who is the Deceiver? How can we not be deceived?

How do you and I feel when we find out that we have been deceived? Usually, we feel sad, disappointed, upset or angry. This world is full of deceits. Many people have been deceived by the seductive or nice words of those who intended to take advantage of them. Many others have been deceived or misled by human religions with unbiblical beliefs, teachings and practices or by worldly philosophies, concepts, or values. Many do not know that they are being deceived or misled, and even willing to die for their beliefs! Then at the end of their lives or on the Judgment Day when they find out that they have been deceived, how regretful they will be!

None of us wants to be deceived. We love our children and never want them to be deceived, so we usually warn them to be cautious and not to play with bad friends nor follow strangers. Our Lord Jesus loves us and does not want us to be deceived, warning us, “Take heed that no man deceive you” (Matt 24:5). Paul has the same warning, “Let no man deceive you with vain words” (Eph 5:6) and “Let no man deceive you by any means” (2 Thess 2:3). And here John even commands us, “Let no man deceive you” (v 7). May the Lord graciously keep us close to Him and His Word from all the deceits of this world of sins.

  • What scripture from the Bible gives evidence to the following five truths? Can you please share them with me?

The subject of my question is God's Amazing Grace.

The Greek word charis {khar'-ece} is most often translated as grace or favor and is found approximately 156 times in the NT. This definition is given by Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon: "That which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech; good will, loving-kindness, favor; of the merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, keeps, strengthens, increases them in Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues."

The word grace has to do with that which is wonderful and beautiful. Charis actually comes from the root word chairo {khah'-ee-ro} which is found another 77 times. It means to be glad and to rejoice exceedingly. Philippians 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice." Surely as Christians we have a lot to rejoice about, because God has given us His grace, and that is surely a most wonderful thing! 1 John 3:1 "Behold, what manner of love.... John is saying, stand up and notice: God is doing a wonderful thing! And that is what grace is all about.

God’s grace is illustrated in the Bible in the following parables:

    • Luke 15:4-7 Parable of the lost sheep

    • Luke 15:8-10 Parable of the lost coin

    • Luke 15:11-32 Parable of the lost son

What scripture do you know from the Bible that gives evidence to the following five truths? Can you please share this scripture from the Bible with me?

    1. Grace is God's love.

    2. Grace cannot be earned.

    3. Grace is getting better than we deserve.

    • JUSTICE = getting what we deserve

    • MERCY = not getting what we deserve

    • GRACE = getting what we don't deserve

    4. Grace is Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf.

    5. Grace is Jesus Christ on the cross!

  • What does Islam teach about the crucifixion of Isa al Masih (Jesus)?

What does the Bible teach about the crucifixion of Isa al Masih (Jesus)? Historic Christianity contends that Jesus was crucified, dead, and buried outside of Jerusalem during the thirty-third year of His life. Christians contend that there is Biblical and historical evidence for the crucifixion, and that it was significant theologically in providing an atonement for the sins of all who would/will believe.

  • What does the Bible say about anger? How can we handle anger biblically?

Handling anger is an important topic. Many people have problems with dealing with their anger. Anger can shatter communication and tear apart relationships, and it ruins both the joy and health of many. And most often people tend to justify their anger instead of accepting responsibility for it. There is a type of anger that the Bible calls “righteous indignation,” but that is not to be confused with anger.

For this question, answers without specific references from the bible are lacking. "Answers" that are not from the bible are not valued at all. This question is primarily for followers of JESUS who KNOW HIM as LORD. [John 14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments." Luke 6:46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?]

  • How do you praise and worship God, the Creator of everything? Do you worship as described in Psalm 98?

"Shout to the LORD, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy! Sing your praise to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and melodious song, with trumpets and the sound of the ram's horn. Make a joyful symphony before the LORD, the King!

Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! Let the earth and all living things join in. Let the rivers clap their hands in glee! Let the hills sing out their songs of joy before the LORD.

For the LORD is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness." (Psa 98:4-9 NLT)

I want to "break out"! I ask for God to help me to learn to cast off the heaviness that the difficulties of life can bring, and express my love and joy to Him unrestrained. If the sea, rivers, and hills can express joy, how much more a life He has redeemed from death and allowed to be in relationship with Him. I ask him to teach me to praise Him as He desires to be praised.

  • Is Jesus the Messiah your High Priest? Why? If he is, when did you accept Jesus as Lord?

"One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band." Rev 1:13

My soul, you are going this morning to the throne of grace, are you not? Pause then, and see Jesus as John saw him, for the church's joy, in his priestly vestments; for remember he is still a priest upon his throne, and by the oath of Jehovah, abides a priest for ever. No, my soul, be not afraid, draw close; hark, surely he calls. I think he speaks to you- "Look to me! Look to me! See, I am your intercessor. This is the reason I wear these priestly garments; and as the ancient high priest represented me, I appear in them down to the foot, and the golden girdle round and beneath the breast. What is your cause? What blessings and praises do you have to offer for past grace? And what supplications for present and future favours? See my garments dipped in blood. Think of the everlasting efficacy of my righteousness: and for whom should I make intercession but for transgressors?"

Fall down, my soul, with holy reverence and godly fear. Jesus will do to you what he did to John. He will lay his right hand upon you and say, "Fear not."

Oh precious, precious Lord, you are, indeed, he that was dead, and now lives forevermore. And you will indeed live to see the fruits of your great salvation faithfully and fully applied to every one of your redeemed. Your priesthood is for ever. Your intercession is unceasing. I do look upon you, Lord, by faith, even now standing with the blood of the covenant in your hand, and presenting me, even me, poor, wretched, worthless me, as one of the purchase of this blood. Do I not hear your voice in those soul-reviving words, "Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me?" (John 17:11) "Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am?" (John 17:24) Oh glorious, gracious, Almighty High Priest! You are, indeed, "a priest forever, after the order of Melchisedec."

Oh you trembling souls! You who have any cause this day to bring before the court of heaven, look unto Jesus, look within the veil, see Jesus there; look steadily, though humbly, and behold his hands, his side; Zion is still engraved on his palms. Nay, do we not see, may we not read our very names, as the high priest bore the names of Israel on his breast, while his hands are lifted up to bless! Yes, Jesus takes up our cause, bears our persons, and all our concerns. And how shall either fail, while he is "able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." (Heb 7:25)

  • According to the Bible, should Christians fear or love God? Can you explain your answer?

    Deuteronomy 6:5 (also Mt 22:37, Mark 12:30, Luke 10:27)

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

    1 Peter 2:17 (also Deut 6:13, Ps 33:8, 34:9, 111:10)

Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.

    Luke 12:4-5

I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.

    1 John 4:16-18

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

  • What does the --BIBLE-- have to say about fornication and those who fornicate?

The biblical meaning of fornication. The Greek word translated "fornication" is porneia. Porneia is found 26 times in the Greek New Testament. W. E. Vine states porneia (fornication) "is used of illicit sexual intercourse…." (Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words). Henry Thayer defines "fornication" as "illicit sexual intercourse in general…distinguished from adultery (moicheia) in Matt. 15: 19…used of adultery…in Matt. 5: 32, 19: 9 (Thayer's Greek-English Lexicon, pg. 532). The granddaddy Greek work says of fornication, "The N. T. is characterized by an unconditional repudiation of all extra-marital and unnatural intercourse" (Theological Dictionary of the New Testament, Vol. 6, pg. 590).

  • Hell exists and is eternal. How is eternity in hell a fair punishment for sin?

The realities of eternal damnation, eternal hell, and eternal punishment are frightening and rightly so. But this is for the good of the sinner, that he might, indeed, be terrified. While this may sound grim (and it is!), there is good news. God loves us (John 3:16) and wants us to be saved from hell (2 Peter 3:9).

What support from the bible do you have that eternity in hell is a fair punishment for sin? I'm not asking for your opinion. I'm asking what the bible has to say about the eternal punishment of sin. Whether you believe the bible and the truths described is another question that's not asked here.

  • Hell is a real place. Is hell temporary or eternal? What truths does the bible give us about hell?

Studies show that over 90% of people in the world believe in a "heaven" while less than 50% believe in an eternal hell. According to the Bible, hell is most definitely real! The punishment of the wicked is hell. Even those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalms 76:10). Those who are in the very real hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment! Praise God that through Jesus, we can escape this fate and be saved (John 3:16,18,36).

Can you site references in the bible regarding whether hell is temporary or eternal? How is hell described in the bible? Will the people who go to hell remain in hell?

  • Which verses in Ephesians and Deuteronomy warn God’s people not to dabble in the Occult?

We are to look to God and His instructions for life as provided in the Bible. To do otherwise is to foolishly deceive yourself, or allow Satan and others to deceive you.

Today, many people dabble in the mystical, occultic arts. Is there anything wrong with being involved in these practices? Yes, the Bible takes a clear position on this subject, strongly denouncing these practices. God created us and therefore owns us. He has a right to set the rules for our lives. God's Word indicates that these practices are part of Satan's strategy of evil tricks and deception, designed to lead us astray. Satan and his demons are real beings set on our destruction. Christians are warned to "put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" EPHESIANS _____:_____.

Concerning occult practices, the Israelites were told:

“When you come into the land which the LORD your God is giving you, you shall not learn to follow the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire [an ancient occult practice], or one who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. For all who do these things are an abomination [detestable] to the LORD…” DEUTERONOMY _____:_____.

The Bible strongly warns people not to consult mediums and spiritists for the truth, but to inquire of God (Isaiah 8:19). Clearly, if those who practiced these arts have any power (beyond being great deceivers), it is not a gift from God (as some falsely claim). The Bible condemns and forbids these practices several times (Deuteronomy 18:9-14; Isaiah 44:25; Jeremiah 27:9; 2 Kings 21:6; 23:24). Divination and Spiritism were despised practices of the heathens (Ezekiel 21:21; Isaiah 19:3; 1 Samuel 28).

  • Can a Christian LOSE salvation? (Please think about your answer and support it with scripture from the bible.)?

Before this question is answered, the term “Christian” must be defined. A “Christian” is not a person who has said a prayer, or walked down an aisle, or been raised in a Christian family. While each of these things can be a part of the Christian experience, they are not what “makes” a Christian. A Christian is a person who has, by faith, received and fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-9).

So, with this definition in mind, can a Christian LOSE salvation? The best way to answer this crucially important question is to examine what the Bible says occurs at salvation, and to study what LOSING salvation would therefore entail.

    Remember, Christians believe that...

    A Christian is a new creation. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

    A Christian is redeemed. (1 Peter 1:18-19)

A Christian is justified. (Romans 5:1)

A Christian is promised eternal life. (John 3:16)

A Christian is guaranteed glorification. (Romans 8:30; Romans 5:1)

Thus, please answer the question with support (quotes) from the Bible while keeping the meaning of the verses quoted within the context that they were used.
