Where is the highest point above sea level?

I have owned liquid-filled compasses for a long time.

1: What causes the bubble to form?

2: How do I get rid of the bubble?

3: What brands of compass don't get bubbles?

I have a Trak Stanton ski that has a no-wax strip that has separated from the base. It is loose from the tip to about six inches back. Ski techs, can you tell me what the proper adhesive to use is? Both surfaces feel like fiberglass. I have a wide variety of adhesives at home, but what do you use on your skis?

On 20A westbound into Warsaw, NY, you see signs saying "NO TRUCKS OVER 9 TONS". Growing up in the vicinity, I heard this was because a truck missed the curve at the bottom of the hill and caused a disaster. I cannot find any info (newspaper stories, etc.) online about this incident. Does anyone know an online link to this story? Second best would be someone who was there and can relate the story to me.

I have an '83 Olds Cutlass Supreme Brougham. The engine is believed to be out of an early to mid 70's Delta 88 (350, 4bbl). I was driving to work on a road with a 50MPH speed limit, but I couldn't get the car to do even 45. When I pulled into the parking lot where I work, the car died. I was able to get it running again long enough to get near a parking space before it died again. I had to get a couple of co-workers to help me put into a parking space.

The mechanic across the street from where I live thinks this is a fuel line problem. I can start the car and in Park or Neutral the engine will run if I keep giving it gas. If I try to put it in any gear, the car might get me a few blocks. While watching the engine idling with the hood up, the engine shook quite a bit. When putting the car into gear, the whole car shakes to where things in the trunk jump around. I pulled out the fuel filter to make sure the engine was getting enough gas, no improvement noticed. Wassup?
