My good friend has been with her partner for about a year. She loves him very much, they have been through a lot together and even though they fight a lot, I think it is just in my friends nature to fight, of which he understands and to an extent puts up with (he most certainly has his faults as well, of which she puts up with).

I am good friends with both of them.

Last weekend we (my friend and myself) went out together and had far too much to drink (not that that is justifing anything). She took a random guy home with her, they slept in the same bed, but did nothing at all apart from kiss.

Now my question...she feels so so so so so bad about it, and feels like she should tell her partner, but knows that he would leave her if she did. But also feels that she has betrayed him terribly.

She asked me for advise, but I am not too sure what to give her. It is a Catch 22 really, either way she looses and so does he.

What do you think?
