  • im resenting my husband for not helping me around the house....?

and i dont know how to handle this. I hate that he only helps maybe once a week and if i ask him for help most of the time he either gripes at me or says yea ill do it, then never does. (or at most does half of it, then leaves the rest...) If i was a stay at home mom i wouldnt be so mad, but i work nights loading trucks for UPS and he expects me to get home at 3-4 and still get the kids up at 8 and keep the house clean....I wont go into so much detail cuz i have a question with alot of detail on the house cleaning stuff already, but I need to know how to not hate him for this. i have tried asking. it doesnt work, Im resenting him and am starting to want him gone, at least that way ill only have mine and the kids mess to pick up.... but i still love him.... and hate him...

  • I have NO HELP in my household and i dont know how to do it all!?

Okay so when me and my husband got together we both did a little clean up here and there and everything was fine. Well after the kids got here I stoped going to work and stayed home. I still got a little mad when hubby wouldnt clean up after himself but it wasnt that big a deal that i do most of the cleaning. I was home all day anyways.

I have been working nights for the past 6 months and its just going downhill! We started out with a schedual which he would just blow off whenever he wanted to. Like he was suposed to do the dishes every other night and clean the living room before bed every night (i had left for work by this time each day, and if he left stuff out the dog would eat it...) well hed shove everything from the living room into the office and would put the dishes off till the next night and then the next and then the next........GRRR!

So finally i just starte ddoing it all when he wouldnt now im resenting him for it and if i even so much as ask for help he throws a fit! half the stupid mess is his! or when i have it compleetly clean ill go take a nap around 7 or 8 before i got to work at 10, or if i run to the store afterwards, I come home and its looks like it did before hand, the toys everywhere i can get over most of the time, but I cant stand that he leave his food out and on the cabinet or beside his chair, (you dont know how many stupid drinks have been spilled becaus ehe left them on the floor before he went to bed. Then we had our carpets cleaned and i said nomore drinks in the liing room for anyone, well he lets the kids have smoothies in the living rooma nd they get spilled, so now i have a huge hard spot on the rug because he just patted it up, and i cant seem to find anything to get it up! I have to stay on his but about taking the trash out to pickup or else hed go 2 or 3 weeks without doing it...

Im starting to resent him for me having to go to work (at a phyisical job by the way ...UPS) and then come home sleep for a couple hours, get the kids up and spend all day cleaning to get halfway through the previous days mess, only to go to work and then come home to a bigger mess. and start it all over again. I have gotten so far behind that the house is starting to smell and I have no idea why!!!! I walk into a room and you cant see the floor and i just start crying....he forgets to put pullups on our littlest and she wets the bed but he just puts another stupid blanket over it and goes back to sleep so i dont even notice till the next day when i make the bed, but by then its dry and stinks to high heaven....

Im crying so hard right now just thinking about this crap and everything i have to do today, i know i wont get any help from him. i ask but he only does it about 1 out of every 10 times he says yea hell help. and most of the time he only does half of the job. Hell do the dishes but leave the silver ware and cups, hell pick up the floor but leave everything on the couch, hell put a few clothes up and then leave the rest for me....

i cant talk to him because he says he doesnt have to because he works more hours than i do (i work about 4 hours a night loading trucks, and he works about 8 hours a day doing paperwork...)

I love him but i hate him for this stuff....

What can i do to make it easier on me, or get him to help?

  • we have a dog with a chewing problem!!!?

Okay... well we are having issues with our dog Loki. Really only one issue and thats his destroying everything.. . only when we are sleeping.... when we are gone he doesnt do anything....

He listens to basic commands like come, sit, go lay down, down, leave it... we have issues with stay when we are doing training, but he seems to know the command very well when it really matters. Like if someone leave the door open, i can yell for him to stay right before he bolts out of it, and he stops right then and stays.

He keeps chewing things up even when we put everything we can think of up away from his reach, he tries something new. It started out with my kids toys, so whenever we go to sleep i make sure they are all in there room and the baby gate is up. then he moved on to my shoes and ive had to replace three pairs of steel toed boots in the last 4 months. Then when i keep those out of his reach for good as well he tears the fish food container up with it full. I just bought the stupid stuff last night! grr, im sorry, im just going the be at my last straw very soon. My kids are throwing fits for stupid stuff, the dog wont stop chewing things besides his toys up and the cat has started peeing in my stupid closet, and he doesnt have a uti or medical reason for it because ive taken him into the vet and hes fine, and his litter box is cleaned daily!!!!!

Any ideas on how to stop this?

  • how do I keep fire ants away?

When we moved into our current house we had a huge problem with fire ants. it was the middle of the summer and we were never really rid of them till this winter. I was able to kill the mounds in the front yard by poring boiling water on them (about 3-4 huge potfulls over a couple of hours.) I know it was killing them because for about an hour the ones that were alive were bringing the dead ones up. then they stopped coming up all together when i poured the third pot full into the mound. I never got arund to doing this to the ones in the back and now they are not on the surface. So i know how to handle them once they pop up. but i want to prevent them from popping up in the first place. We want to start a garden and the only place that gets good sun is right along the side fence (the only place the ant hills were in the back....) I also want my kids to be able to play outside without too much worry.

so.... how do i keep fire ants from ever popping into my yard in the first place.... (i cant do the water thing because i dont know where they are. Also i know once you kill the ones in your yard you have to prevent new ones from moving in....

  • help getting my marriage back on track.?

I am 23 and my husband is 26. We have 2 great kids 4 and 2. we have been married for 4 years. We have had normal ups and downs that any marriage has.

It seems that theres a few problems that keep repeating over and over again and i cant figure out how to help them. I will not just give in and do it all because then ill just resent him and it will get worse.

When it comes to the lack of sex I am in the middle. Yes i want to have sex. Hes my husband, I love him and i enjoy sex with him. I dont like that when we have sex he always asks for things I wont do, and things ill only do sometimes. its like he would rather have that than actual sex. I have no problem doing this for him every now and then, but I get nothing from this so its not something i want to do every time. Even when i say stop asking, he keeps asking.

Stuff around the house is devided up so that he does the dishes every other week day and i have them the rest of the time. on his days for dishes he says oh well i just do them tomarrow and so they sit there. the next day comes and sometimes he does them, sometimes he pushes them off for another day. One time he kept pushing them off for a whole week. I finally did them and he couldnt figure out why i was so pissed.

I make dinner and get the kids their baths and pick up after dinner. then i go to work. He stays up about another hour or so and then goes to bed. Half the time he leaves the kids mess behind. Hes suposed to pick up after them before bed. He also takes the trash out to the back on trash days. He usually forgets that.

If i ask him to help with something that is a one time thing, like cleaning up the backyard. he says yea i can do that when i get home. a week goes by and we get a notice saying it needs to be picked up from our landlord and i tell him he says oh sorry i forgot. And then i wind up doing it the day before the deadline so we dont get fined.

If i leave with a clean house to go grocery shopping or something, i come home to a trashed house, and i dont mean just one room. Hes left all his food out and a mess in the kitchen, then passed out in the room or on the couch and the kids have trashed the house along with the dogs help. I get mad and wake him up to help me and yea usually i gripe him out real bad, then he gets pissy and goes to play a game in his office....

I have tried to talk with him but he either falls asleep or ignores me. and if i turn the tv off he starts to listen but then gets pissy.....and hell never talk back to me he just blows me off.

We cant work at the same time because i cant transfer shifts and he has to work the day shifts since hes manager at his store. We also cant afford a babysitter on a daily basis.

I have considered quiting my job because im not as stressed then and i can handle all the household. plus wed have time for us together, but hes gets really mad when i talk about that.

Getting a babysitter is real hard because we dont always have the money for it, and we dont have family that will watch them. His mother takes the kids about once every few months for a night and we are usually able to have some time together. but its getting to where half the time i want to leave him because of this crap. But i love him. And i honestly cant see my life without him.

Things get so bad that half the time i break down and just cry. but that pisses him off as well. i know that im not perfect and i bring some of our problems on, but i cant see how i can be causing all of them....the problems start when i get mad about things. mainly those listed here..... Not even me getting mad all the time really. If i so much as remind him that its his day for the dishes it starts.

  • i cant seem to figure out how to get my marriage back on track.?

I am 23 and my husband is 26. We have 2 great kids 4 and 2. we have been married for 4 years. We have had normal ups and downs that any marriage has. my problem is that i dont feel he does his fair share around the house and i wouldnt have a problem with him not doing much if i didnt work as well. I work night shift at UPS and leave for work about 10 and get home about 4 am. He goes to work about 6 am and gets home between 2 and 4 so we have time together. we however havent had alone time in a long time and when i want to talk to watch a movie together while the kids are playing all he wants is sex. I know we have been low on sexual activity as well but he gets so pissy when i say no that it makes me feel bad. I cant get him to sit and talk with me either and we cant have weekly dates or anything because we cant really afford a babysitter and dont have family near enough t hat would watch our kids. about once every few month his mother watches them overnight on a saturday or sunday, so we do get to go out every now and then, but..... i guess im just at a loss. I feel like i want to quite working because it seems better when i am off of work, but then hed just get mad. (we are not strapped for cash, even without my work we have over 300 left each month. with my job we have about 900 left a month.... however its never really all there at once and by the time we have time to do something its gone....)

    any ideas to help?

  • my husband wont help around the house and I cant do it all....?

I work at UPS overnight. we have 2 small kids who are not in school yet and they get up around 10 am about 4-5 hours after i get home. My husband works from 6 am till about 2-4 pm. We had an arangment where we would both do housework since we both work, mine before dinner and he would get the house clean again before he went to bed. this way we both get rest time (his before dinner and mine after) and if needed I can take a nap before work since i get average 3-4 hours sleep when I get home.

It only works like that 2 or 3 days a week, and for the past week nothing at all. I would come home from work and find the dishes still left all over the place, his snack still on the cabinet, juice or water spilled on the table and not even cleaned up (along with the run off on the floor, now dry and sticky)

and most all of the toys strewn over the house. I clean the girls room before I leave and when I get home its trashed. He tells me hell do something and it never gets done....

At this point all I can think is to quite my job and take over the house again. But the extra 600-800 a month is good for us.....

Its so bad that I usually cry for a bit when I get home.....before cleaning all the stuff up and getting only 2 hours sleep....

  • my dogs and cat like to eat prey, is this wrong? any ideas why they do this?

Ive had neighbors and family say that our animals are just plain mean because of this, but not once have they ever growled hissed or snapped at a person. We have a husky puppy, a germain shepherd puppy, (both 6 months old) and a 3 month old siamese kitten.

it started when we moved from an apartment to a house, the dogs would go out to play in the yard, and one day I look out the window and Loki (Husky) is carrying around a bird looking for a place to relax with his kill. Before I get out to stop him he eats it. About a month later Sheeba (shepherd) finally gets the squirl that has been taunting her from its tree. (one of them anyways...) when all this was going on we took in a 2 week old kitten to nurse it along. and the owners (who owned mama when she died) didnt want him back.... so we kept him. For some rason he liked to go outside when he was about 2 months old, so we let him, I check on him every 30 min or so.... well one day I walk out and he has a bird in his mouth. grossed out I shut the door, thinking hell let me know when hes ready to come in. He does, but the only thing left of the bird is the head.... just yesterday I walk out to find him and a squirl thats the same size as him!!! He had grabed it and was trying to swing it around like they do on those wild cat shows (to snap its neck...) and i go in again grossed out but to also call my husband so he can come put it out of its misery.... hubby gets home, its already dead, and eddy (cat) has picked its fur off and is starting to chow down......

Im a bit confused why they do this, because they get the best diet possible ( homemade with plenty of raw beef and turkey, and cooked salmon (too big a tapeworm risk, they also dont get any pork for this reason....) I was told its because of their diet that they do this, but they were doing this even before I put them on this diet.....

Alot of people are telling me they are just playing, but ive yet to see them leave the kill till they are either taken away from it, or have eaten some of it.... (or all of it if they could...eddy wasnt able to eat all of the squirl ...it was the same size as him....)

  • it is illegal to own an american aligator in the state of texas, my grandfathers ranch has one on it...?

but we have no idea how it got on there. we think it swam through on the creek that runs from the local lake and into his "ponds" that he has on the ranch. no one messes with it and they do not feed it. it seems to be thriving there though because it hasnt left and there is plenty of food. My grandfather has made sure that all the animals are put up at night and they dont go near this pond anyways... Not sure what its eating, but it refuses to leave...

My main question is, this, someone from the game comission came by and gave my grandfather 15 days to release the animal into the wild before he comes back ore he will get some heavy fines.

Weve tried everything we can think of to get him to leave and nothings worked. My grandfather told him its not his pet and that it just showed up one day, but the game officer doesnt care.... and they wont help my grandfather get him off the property. is there anything we can do? either to get the game comission to drop it or to get the gator off the ranch....

  • okay well we got a kitten last night, and our dogs have not tried to attack it or anything, they just want to?

they just want to sniff it and play and such, I know that to a tiny kitten a big dog could be scary and such but how do we get him to at the very least tollerate them?

my father was able to get their american bulldog to like cats and the kitten wasnt afraid of him even though his first instint was to kill it, they are best friends now....

our dogs are husky puppies (one boy and one girl) both 4 months old. the kitten is a siamese boy 2 months old and the dogs have never tried to attack or bite, they dont really chase him either. but he sits there and hisses and attacks them all the time, either from under the table (his spot that he stole from our pups) or in the middle of the room (he will jusp them when in the middle of the room.

at the same time, when they are in their crate for the night, Eddy (the cat) likes to go jump on top of it and hiss, and make growly noises at the dogs, even though they are not even doing anything.

so my question is... how do I get him to at least tollerate them, even batter if he would like them....

  • I have two pups, but only one keeps having accidents. ANY IDEAS?

I take them out one then the other, they always pee when they go out, they go out about every 1-2 hours and they are on a feeding schedual. They eat once in the morning (they dont eat it all, but close enough, they get about 1/2 cup of food per meal) then once at lunch and once about 5-6 pm. they go into a crate at night and when we leave (not often) i keep an eye out for his "signs" but he ALWAYS sniffs but has only peed twice last night and twice today, ive always caught him in the middle of it and take him out to finish, hes never pooed in the house....any ideas on if im doing something wrong? I know it will take time but i also believe that if i can prevent accidents by taking them out often enough that it will be easier on them as well as us.

we live in an apartment and they are 7 weeks old The one that keeps haveing accidents is Loki our boy, and The other one is Sheba our girl.

(please dont say anything about the age, we took them from mommy because the vet said it would help her heal better after an incident, The mom is my sister in laws dog and they were weaned before hand anyways. We got two because of the age and the fact that they do still need a littermate around, as well as the fact that my hubby fell in love with the boy. We do plan on getting them fixed at the earliest age so i dont want to hear about that either.

  • House Training help please!?!?!?!?! TWO 7 WEEK PUPS...?

I have our pups on a feeding schedual and they havent pooped in the house yet, the first day we had them I put their water bowl up when the food was up as well but i didnt know if I should do that so today I left the water down all day.

The first day there wernt any accidents at all and up till about 9 tonight no accidents either, but about 9, Loki went and peed behind the couch, I saw it clapped my hands said NO and took him outside, he finished out there but then about 20 min later he peed again. I clapped again and took him out and he peed and pooped.

I KNOW i should watch him for his "signs" and then take him out, but my main question is this,....

should I be taking their water up when I take the food up or do I need to leave it down?

ANY OTHER TIPS WOULD BE APRICIATED,

Also we live in an aprtment so I cant just let them out every now and then, they go out with me....

They are being crate trained as well, they go in their crate at nap time (noon-1) bed time and when we are gone (not often)

ALSO PLEASE EVERYONE<I DONT WANT TO HEAR ABOUT HOW I WAS A BAD PERSON FOR TAKING THEM AWAY FROM MOMMY TOO SOON. THERE WAS A PROBLEM FOR MOMMY AND THE VET RECOMENDED IT FOR HER SAFETY. MOMMY BELONGS TO MY SISTER IN LAW AS WELL....

  • Why am I just now hearing about Giardia and testing for it.?

We are getting two puppies from my sister in law next week, and we will be taking them to the vet for a check up, when asked what kinds of tests or whatever well need to pay for they most all recomend that we do a fecal for giardia as well as other worms. (we are not worried about other worms, since they have already been d wormed 3 times.)

Aparently giardia is something that can pass to humans as well and can cause blindness (in humans...) Well I have never heard of it bfore and weve always taken our dogs to the vet and ive never been told about this test or anything, nor have I been told about Giardia and the risks.

Anything else you can tell me would be nice to know as well.

  • I NEED ADVICE... pros and cons of one or two pups?

Okay well we are getting a pup from my Sis in laws litter. Well today I went over there and wormed the pups. (i bought it for our puppy but there was enough to do all the pups and mom, so since shes giving us our pup i wormed them all, :) Well all of her brother were picking on her. (and boy does she jump them! lol it was so cute she stood up on her back legs and started pawing and nipping them, they all ran off...) Well there are only two others that she will play with. this chubby little black one (the only one that ate the wormer WILLINGLY), and this other husky looking one. Well I was looking at him and he has BY- EYES. I shouldnt have told my hubby but I did. He has wanted a by eyed husky since he was little. And this dog looks like a Hubby wants to get them both....

    SO I NEED ADVICE

What are the pros and cons of getting them both?

What are the pros and cons of getting just one?

    ANY HELP WILL BE APRICIATED.

(we know that there would be added expence like twice the wmount of food and twice the amount of shots, But our budget allows us to get a 26 pound bag of food every 2 weeks, and i have enough to get the shots for both. (I saved more than i expected...) (I also have enough for toys and such, we have 60 budgeted for the dogs every two weeks, the medium sized bag of Blue Buff dog food is 35 that leaves 25 for toys and treats. And they wouldnt need new toys every two weeks, ...)

Oh the pups are mutts but the two hewants to get look just like huskies we think the neighbors dog tagged her, hes full huskey

  • what natural treats are good for training a puppy.?

They have to be small enough for a begal puppy and if its a crunchy treat it cant be as hard as a milk bone biscuit, I know the nutro crunchy treats are crumbly enough for her to eat and they are the right size, but with all this going on with the nutro products id rather stay away from them...

Also soft treats would be good as well, but my main requirment in that it be a natural treat, corn free, high quality such like that.

  • what are some of the best dog foods out there?

I was considering Nutro and Blue, but now Nutro is out due to the problems going around. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what other dog foods there are that dont contain corn, we dont have the dog yet, but shes on ol roy rigth now, and i HATE that. We will switch her gradually and I know how to do that. She will be 8 weeks when we et her.
