Does a garbage disposal dishwasher inlet have to be caped if the factory cap isn't removed?
We do not have a dishwasher attached therefore I did not remove the plug in the "dishwasher inlet," However the inspector says I have to "cap the dishwasher drain port." This doesn't make sense. Do I have to cap a port that is already capped by the manufacturer?
6 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)4 years agoWhat is the purpose of the three circuit breakers installed for a new HAVC system?
Buyer had my home inspected. Write-up stated that the main panel or "Entrance panel" had breakers not labeled. The only breakers recently added were added out side by the HVAC contractor. They installed a double 60, a double 35, and two single 20 breakers. The contractor sent an electrician to change a 30 Amp to a 35 Amp for the condenser but she didn't label the 60 Amp nor the two 20 Amp breakers. What are the most likely HVAC components these breakers serve?

2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs4 years agoWhy are many general practice doctors clueless about diabetes?
A previous doctor I had told me not to check my blood sugar every day. She said “that too much poking, do it once a week.” A friend has Type 2 diabetes told me her doctor, a young doctor, told her “we need to come up with a good treatment plan to get you back to type 1.” She was horrified when she learned he wasn’t joking. I have a relative with Type 1 and her doctor told her to stop taking medication. Luckily my sister heard about it an accompanied the relative on the next visit to the “doctor.”

7 AnswersElections4 years agoHow to disable a small active meter on my Toshiba Satellite L15W B1320 computer?
The computer works fine, no hardware or software issues. It wasn't turned on for three months and then when I turned it on a small vertical black rectangle meter displays on the upper left corner of the screen. I click on it, slide the meter up and down, the numbers in white change and that's it. Nothing visible changes. I can't deactivate it. Can't find anything on the Task Menu that hints its the meter.
1 AnswerSoftware4 years agoDo you agree that people stereo-type individuals with pierced lips, nose, eyelid, and other visible body parts?
A group of friends, family and I were watching the news of an individual who was murdered. At first all in the room voiced empathy for the victim s family. But then they showed the victim s mother. She had piercings in several places and immediately a negative attitude replaced the empathy.
4 AnswersPsychology4 years agoWhy did Trump chicken out in Mexico?
Before his well publicized Arizona speech on immigration he went to Mexico but didn't even bring up the issue that "Mexico will pay for the wall." I'm very disappointment and am now wondering if he is just a cowardly bully.
11 AnswersPolitics5 years agoGiven that xenophobia is a major issue in America now do think being bilingual is dangerous?
Exactly a year ago my wife and I visited our son and his family stationed in Germany. One morning at breakfast, in a small village hotel, my wife, granddaughter, and I were joined by the hotel manager for breakfast. He spoke English and Spanish very well. He and my teenage granddaughter conversed in German. He introduced us to a Spanish guest. The Spaniard and I conversed in English and Spanish.
The manager then said to me, “You know, when it comes to languages spoken, there are three kinds of people. People like your granddaughter who speak more than two languages are called multilingual. People like you who speak two languages are called bilingual. Then there are people who speak only one language. They are called Americans.”
I must admit that at first I felt insulted. But that conversation reminded me of my experience as a child attending school in San Antonio. Going into San Antonio on IH-35 about 3 miles past Splashtown and one block after the Walters Street underpass on the right is John J. Pershing Elementary School. The playground has a concrete barrier wall about 10 feet high. As a child I spent many recess periods there with my nose touching the wall and my hands behind my back. The crime? Talking Spanish. Ironically, 30 years later, I would be paid a stipend for speaking Spanish while serving overseas.
I am grateful to my parents for their determination that I master both languages in spite of the hardships. Honestly, being bilingual is an advantage.

Jr ROTC students in the USA and similar programs in other countries are well aware of it. Trump attended a "military high school."
