  • Russel Brown - True Artist or Con Job? ? ?

Hi I purchased a painting from a guy who said they were genuine original oil painting its of a australian sheep/outback sort of picture. Has anyone heard of Russel Brown? The painting has his name signed on bottom of painting. The painting was sold by a door to door salesman. The painting is beautiful - I dont really care if the painting is just a copy etc, but I would really like to know if there is a real Russel Brown who paints original pictures or if they are just copies of someone elses work. The paintings are real oil on unstretched canvas. thanks.

  • How to frame/mount oil painting on canvas painted 10yrs ago?

We came across 2 large oil paintings painted on canvas but were not stretched - they were painted more than 10yrs ago.

How do I go about mounting these without causeing damage to the painting. Also there was a bend in the canvas and the oil paint has slightly creased/splintered (almost coming off) do you know how to repair this or do I leave it alone thanks for all advice.

  • Help - Appliances that have turned from white to yellow?

I am just moving into my first house. I have been buying and storing my appliances (as I could afford them) - microwave, oven, dishwasher etc, they were purchased second hand, however they were close to new and were a nice bright clean white colour (like new) I stored them in my parents garage under a tarp. I have now just bought my new kitchen and its a white colour but my Huge problem is that all the appliances the plastic has all turned a very yellow colour. they look terrible. Does anyone know if there is a product or a solution to remove the ugly yellowness from them. Also any suggestion why this has happend. They have been in a dark dry storage for approx 1.5 years.

  • Bánh mì - help please with cooking.?

Banh Mi Thit (Bánh mì kẹp thịt) Vietnamese baguette, French bread containing paté, Vietnamese mayo, different selections of Vietnamese cold cuts and deli (a large variety, most commonly with ham, head cheese, and a Vietnamese bologna), pickled daikon and carrot, cucumber slices. Often garnished with coriander, black pepper. This food is common everywhere in Vietnam as a favorite of factory workers and school kids and eaten for any meal of the day, commonly breakfast and lunch. There are a wide variety of banh mi (with different meats) and many shops have popped up across North America serving primarily Banh mi.

    MY QUESTION IS:

I want to know if anyone knows how to prepare the carrot that is used in these rolls sold in bakery shops in australia. I know they do something other than grate it because tastes so much better than just grated carrot.

Also the special butter they use how do you make it? Could I please have the recipie to make the butter/mayo?
