    Would you dispute this charge?

This weekend my wife and I rented a small U-Haul truck to pick up some new furniture we had ordered and to take our old furniture to my daughter's place.  I rented it for a total of 6 hours be we didn't need that much time.  I paid the rental of about $86 for the U-Haul and then about 4 hours later we returned it.  The guy at the rental place said to bring it back full of gas since that's how we picked it up.  Before we took it back I stopped at the gas station a few miles from the U-Haul store and topped off the tank.  We had used less than a quarter of a tank of gas so it took about $12 to push the needle past full again.  This morning I checked my bank account and noticed that the U-Haul place had charged my card an additional $2.29.  Gas prices in our area are $2.67 for regular unleaded so they are apparently charging me for less than a gallon of gas.  Would you dispute this charge?  I'm about to call the U-Haul place and ask them what the additional charge is for.  Again, the tank was full when I returned it but I guess it wasn't full enough.

Does it come out cheaper to order products and have them delivered to your home, as opposed to driving about?

a half-hour away to a retail store and purchase them that way?  I'm wondering if this would actually be the case, especially if one tallies in the commute charges to get to a brick-and-mortar mall (gasoline, parking, etc..).  Maybe, even with shipping charges, it ends up being less expensive to obtain your purchases being having them mailed to you.  I'd appreciate your feedback.

Why does a person want to pay me $500 weekly just to advertise apartments for him... ?

I'm from UK and he is from US. I was applying for local London Office work on Facebook and he explained that he is based in the US and wants me to use my Facebook profile to pull customers through advertising apartments and flats. I have posted just one so far, but I didn't know how to change the currency on the header information of the ad and I couldn't leave it blank so I just converted it from USD to GBP. But it says the USD price in the description section only.

is college pretty much a scam? when did it become known that many people with degrees cannot get jobs in their chosen field after? is true?

    Favourite answer:

As someone with a Bachelors Degree, I'd say it's a waste of time and money. (Ask me again in another 5 years and I might have a different answer.)

But, I think a key problem is that the job market has changed. Millennials were taught that the way to a fulfilling career was to get a degree. And, now that there are more degree holders than jobs to employ them, a degree isn't worth very much nowadays.

If you decide to go to college, I recommend that you go into a STEM field or don't bother. The medical field is a good way to go. Nurses and dental hygenists make good money right out of college.

I have a Bachelors in Industrial Engineering Technology.

"Corporate Communications" sounds like a waste. A lot of colleges will create stupid programs just to sell them to naive students. One college (I forget which one) has a curriculum on Zombie Studies. (Good luck finding a job with that major.)

when does the tax year start and end?

    Favourite answer:

Everyone's tax year begins on January 1st and ends on December 31st.

It does not matter when you actually get around to filing the tax forms - the time frame you would be filing for is the entire previous calendar year.

In 2021 - you are filing for anything that happened anytime during 2020.

How do I chargeback non-refundable digital goods?

Hello there, so I need some advice. I recently accidentally purchased software for $150, and I would like it refunded. I have not downloaded the software or anything like that, just accidentally used apple pay and face id to purchase the item. However, there was a no-refunds policy. I explained to the seller my situation, and they told me that they would not refund my purchase since they had a no-refunds policy. What should I do to get my money back? $150 is a lot of money for me not to even use the software that I bought. The seller is now ignoring my requests when I asked for another refund. PLEASE HELP ME

are they lying about the REAL unemployment numbers? how much so? and how and why exactly?   ?

    Favourite answer:

Unemployment only counts those still receiving unemployment compensation.  People who timed out yet still don't have jobs are not in the total.

Can the company you work for give you a pay cut?

I’ve been at my current job for 4

years, and over this last year my team’s workload has tripled in a very short amount of time. One of the managers of our office proposed that we add another assistant  manager to our team to do the same functions that I do. Currently our team is 1 senior manager, 1 assistant manager, 7 reps. But the catch is that, me specifically, I would have to give away half of my incentives/bonuses away to the new hire because our company does commission share for only assistant managers. The concerning part is that, for me.. commission is 50% of my annual pay! I’d have to take a 25% pay cut to onboard a new hire, losing upwards of $20,000+ to my annual pay. I can and will not do that!

How much is a human life worth?

When big corporations design products it is often cheaper to make them less safe, but they have to calculate how much they could get sued for if their product costs lives and at a certain point its not cost-effective to continue to produce it. How much can they expect (approximately) to be sued for each life lost? In other words how much is a human life worth?
